Am I going to be able to play Diablo 4 Story on Higher World Tiers (3 and 4)?

Hello,

I’m wondering, once we unlock a WT3 with one of our characters - will I be able, on my next character, to play the story on WT3? Here’s how I’d want to do it:

  1. Unlock WT3
  2. Start New character, play open world in WT2 to level up to level 50
  3. Change difficulty to WT3
  4. Play the story on WT3

OR:

Can I REPLAY the story on WT3 with a character I have already beaten it with?

This might seem silly to some of ya’ll, but I don’t really care about endgame, especially when it seems it’s going to be very easy (hopefully it won’t) and when it’s just grinding to get more powerful just to be more powerful…

In (my) perfect world, I’d like my story to be as hard as possible, and story bosses to be very powerful so I actually have an incentive to grind and get amazing gear in order to beat these story bosses. So, I’m just basically looking for a way to play story mode on the hardest difficulty possible…

Or, we’ll only be able to play story on WT2?

I just don’t like that beating a story is the only way to proceed to higher world tiers. Which probably mean, we’ll only gonna be able to experience the story in WT2

Because there are only 4.

Each character has to clear the capstone dungeon to access WT3. But you don’t have to complete the story again on different characters. If you choose to play the story again, you have to complete it before you can do the capstone dungeon.

And we won’t be able to replay the story on a character we already beat it on, right? …

Correct. No way to replay strongholds, or story bosses, or any of that on a character that completed it.

That seems like a downgrade from D3 to be honest.

As far as I’ve seen nobody has figured out a way to refight campaign bosses. Since you have to complete the campaign to get to WT 3, it doesn’t seem possible to do the campaign, or even campaign bosses, on higher tiers.

Nope. There is absolutely 0 replaysbility with the same character. Its a joke.
Once you beat all the quests and side quests, all that is left is to do the daily missions and grind.
The campagin is shorter than any other diablo campaign.
Looks like there will be an expansion (have to purchase no doubt).
Theres the battlepass coming in July. So one will be able to pay for and level that up with more grinding.
But there are no more speed runs, no more fighting the bosses over and over for drops.
(My inventory was full at the final cinematic and i didnt get the end drops because it moved me lol).
I really hope more people make a big deal about this because this is some kind of sick joke.
Its so disappointing.
(I wrote all of this fighting a boss with one hand on world tier 2 on my friends campaign because thats the only way i can play it again).
I honestly wouldnt have bothered buying it. Id have just watched the 20 minutes of cinematics instead of taking a day to beat the game.
