I’m feeling like I’m thick, y’all. I’ve been using this Paragon layout for an Ice Shards build from D4Builds.gg. I’ve only recently become concerned about the nodes that increase damage to “Chilled” targets. I’m not sure I “chill” anything with my build. I’ve got the Cryomancy Rare node that includes a “4% Chill Application,” though I’m not sure this has any impact on any of my skills. Should I get off the Chill damage nodes?
ice shard dont apply chill effect, unless u enchan ice bolt
I suppose I do chill enemies with Deep Freeze, though that’s not too often.
As Nameless said, you won’t freeze anything from ice shards without the frost bolt enchant.

If only they would do something like add a debuff that would show how many stacks of chill etc… I’ve seen this question so much in game, and on streams etc. Seems you have your answer though from everyone 
What skills are you using? I use frost bolt and blizzard to chill my enemies. One frost bolt followed by ice shards counts as a chilled enemy.
