Why not? Most of them are terrible anyway. It would incentivize builds using them more. For instance, I like to play with Razorplate here and there because thorns are fun. But I have to get rid of something like Disobedience. The trade off isn’t worth it for doing any content beyond meme stuff. But if I could put Disobedience on Razorplate, well then we have an actual useful item. I wouldn’t have to destroy my build to incorporate a unique.
Everything already feel super weak, so why not do this?
How so? If you can put aspects on a Unique gear that any piece of gear would have, that would take away from the unique item. It would in turn make unique pointless.
You are looking at Aspects as “enchants” and that is not what they are
The unique part of the gear is the aspect itself removing that aspect makes it no longer unique.
Now are you referring to the Enchants on the gear above the Aspect (ie. cd red, max life, all stats, etc) as the reason you are wanting to do such a thing so you don’t have to gear grind as heavily? If so I can see a case for that.
I have to ask for clarification. What part on a Unique piece of gear are you considering this “skill” Unique Gear minus a few like Razorplate which only has the Aspect, All have both Enchants and Aspects already on them from last I looked there are no skills on them. Maybe with Set Pieces, we will get “Skills” or Set Effects added on to gear like in D2 and D3.
Anywho I hope you don’t feel that I am trolling you I am trying to simply better understand this post.
though considering his post’s history , i think it’s more about buffing even more rare items as they are tradeable and for some : “RMTeable”.
even if a rare item that have an aspect can’t be traded it would still increase the value of rare.
which in my opinion is quiet bad. Rares shouldn’t be BIS in every slot.
it’s already bad as it is.
