Like most of them don’t even make sense, crying about monetization when the game doesn’t have a single reason to buy from the shop or crying about online in 2023.
Promise I’m not a big diablo 4 simp but the cringe of your review being " always online 0/10" is so cringe
You always need to take ‘mediocre’ reviews with a grain of salt since when it’s in the 4-6.0 range a lot of the negative reviews aren’t actually reviews. Just snowflake melt over things that are irrelevant.
Yeah like I’m not saying the game is game of the year, it’s fun I’m having a good time just its wild that 90% of the 0 star reviews are just buzz words and whining
Pirating and people just hacking items into their character.
It’s why i hate pokemon, no one plays the game the way it’s intended they just hack all the best pokemon into their games.
That’s Fair.
I would say 3.5/5.
If they implement a Player Driver Economy that is able to stand the Test of Time, I can see that score going up to a 4/5.
like, theres no reason to not give it an offline mode. they could. would i play an offline mode ever in diablo? no. never, absolutely not. but also, if someone wants to play single player why wouldnt you give them that option? it makes no sense.
They’re not even playing the game at that point… they’re just hacking the best items(pokemon) into the game.
Developers aren’t obligated to make games offline or online.
They wanted it to be online and that’s that. It is basically like whining for an offline version of WoW " what’s wrong with letting someone just run around one shotting raid bosses with frostmourne " nothing is inherently wrong with that but the devs have zero reason to even make it an option
…
Again you already listed the 100% valid reason why, always online helps fight against piracy… people were pirating tf out of tears of the kingdom and its complaining about online in 2023… it’s not that big of a deal.
It’s akin of being a warcraft 3 fan, wow coming out and then giving it 0/10 because always online…
I stopped taking Metacritic user reviews seriously a long time ago.
I think some people will look at a userscore and it will be enough to deter them from buying a game at full-price, at least that was the case for me. But then they get the game at a good price during a steep sale and realize the reviews were 100% BS. Once this happens enough times you’ll realize that the user reviews are completely full of it.
