Blizzard obviously hasn’t fixed the issue yet, or even acknowledged its existence yet as far as I know.
Who’s to blame and who’s responsible for fixing this? Blizzard or nvidia? Using old drivers is not sustainable for anyone who wants to play recent releases…
If they don’t fix it, this game is dead for me and a lot of other players by the start of next season. I’m not going to continue using 4, 5+ month old drivers just for Diablo 4.
This isn’t just an issue for me, it has been mass reported all over the internet since the launch of the expansion.
why would i need to do the job of a gaming company and review crash reports for a game that is poorly coded, probably with google ai algo rhythms. This is the only game in my arsenal of games that are similar in type, that crashes.
If other games and activities crashed my computer, than i would begin to trouble shoot from my end, this blunder by blizzard is clearly the server side issue. Especially since there is a patch every couple of days.
When you put all your money on a crappy coder that states their poo is golden poo and failsafe, with not testing, they rely only on PTR to do their testing for them just proves its a failed business model. People only go to PTR to look for exploits or for Streamer Content. Not to test for a company that dont pay.
Go back to the olf Beta models from the 2000s when gaming was gaming and not this force fed garbage going on today.
Loyalty to Brand means something, at least to me. Being the Best means something. Blizzard doesn’t follow that model any more.
let me be clear, there is a graphics setting in the game of diablo, the programmers that added those options have no clue what they do to make or break the game. They don’t interface with the user to the game to nvidia. the Programmers need to go to NVIDIA and get a Class on how to interface software options added to video games and how to make Vidoe Cards work to potential. The DeI programmers in Blizzard probally need to sign up for a actual class, and not a participation google video.
If i was a programmer and made every player go look in a txt file for error codes while the game was playing… (finish the statement yourself)
Someone needs to get retrained or fired. Maybe have a care about the job title and position you’re in instead of demanding the job based on DEI BS.
If you’re a failed programmer and graphics is in your title at bliz, get some Training on the latest NVIDIA training by going to a real class and stop using google ai generated code.
On what expertise are you basing your diatribe? You have intimate knowledge of Blizzard’s Human Resources? Perhaps you are a programming professional with decades of experience? Or maybe you are just some angry person who wants to rant on the internet with nothing to back their claims.
I mean, some people have been crashing. Im personally not too sure if its really an nvidia thing tho. Kept my nvidia updated all the time, and except for 3 crashes in the early days of the season ive been doing fine.
Lots of stuff that can cause issues, even if its not satisfying, you sadly have to sit it out while they figure out whats causing these problems for certain players.
lol yea… people are way too fast to throw this around lately.
Some people are so involved in the fake culture wars that they lose sight of objective reality. In any case, culture wars do not belong on this forum we have to put up with enough of that nonsense in everyday life. I suspect most of us do not want it intruding into our entertainment.
i honestly didnt even know that term until i stumbled upon it in some game forums lol.
Since then i kinda had the feelings its the new fashion word to use for angry gamers xD
basically you can say anything - back it up with some DEI stuff and you made a point!
I am not sure who is to blame, I 've only seen this Fenris crash 2-3 but that was on release. I’ve never encountered this issue since then. Might be challenging issue to track down I suppose.
I’ve personally tested it. On a newly formatted computer with nothing but bnet/d4 installed…
Both nvidia drivers released in October make the game crash to desktop roughly every 1-1.5 hours. Every single time, no exceptions. Uninstall with DDU, install the September driver and no crashes. Uninstall with DDU, try a newer driver and it crashes. Uninstall with DDU, back to September driver and no crashes.
Lot’s and Lot’s of people are having this problem. I have no idea why some people are crashing and others arent. Im personally on a 3080 but I’ve seen people reporting this with all range of cards, up to a 4090.
I don’t know exactly what’s causing it, but it’s correlated between those drivers and d4.
If it’s a nvidia driver issue, why this driver works fine with every other games of the world, every application, even Skyrim with 1000 mods it still work, everything except D4? It’s not a solution to downgrade a driver just for one application, the right way is to update this application to work with the new driver. Generally it just need a recompilation.
Is this thread linux people complaining about linux not being good for gaming but pretending it’s blizzard’s fault and not their precious snowflake OS?
Your racism and bigotry is showing. That might be thing to do at the maga rally but otherwise it’s not cool.
I asked this question in a different thread but obviously you missed it. Did, or do, you know that DEI includes Caucasian (white just in case don’t know what that means) women?
You do you boo and continue the hate on the forums because I really doubt you are stupid enough, or have the cahones, to be this way in public.
