WTF… really gear that I spent a month farming is now useless, my perfect cooldown reduction offhand now garbage, damage reduction from close and distant now garbage.
I am at least 10 tiers lower in power level than I was before this patch. This is complete bull.

I created my own build, not that good, but I was able to go for 50-60 NM dungeons. Now I cant even finish 40

It doesn’t need to say it in the ToS, everyone knows it’s a seasonal game, this is just a rare occasion where eternal is affected as well because they messed up.

we are still in beta, at least for the next 2 -*3 years until they make something interesting and expand the skill tree and the make some decent game mechanics, which for the record, making a new game would be better than fixing absurd amount of bugs and bad designed activities.
Were you even alive in 1997 when Diablo was created? It HAS NOT ALWAYS B BEEN A SEASONAL GAME. Yes, if it is purely seasonal then it needs to be disclosed as such to the potential buyers. Had I known this, I would have taken a very different approach to how I have been playing it. I ssumed it would have sessions. I knew ot had been a work in progress since release. I did not however, foresee such fundamental changes chiming that will essentially make this an entirely b different game. IT’S NOT A SEASONAL GAME! I wish you’d stop saying that. Nor is it a MMO. It is primarily a RPG, Wirth some MMO elements, but the Diablo franchise has NEVER been a seasonal only MMO. UNTIL NOW.

Umm, yes, Diablo 1 didn’t have seasons or ladders, but Diablo 2 did and so did Diablo 3 eventually. And I said that in my first reply to you if you had bother to read it.
In Diablo 2 you could ignore them to certain extent though you’d miss a few features in the process, but with the exception of Diablo 1, ladders or seasons in Diablo games have been a thing.
And again, you were warned for about 6 months this would happen. Getting all bent out of shape when you were warned is strictly Karen behavior.

I, too, enjoy a good charcuterie. Not sure I’d want one made of my old chars though. That sounds like cruel and unusual punishment just for being undergeared. 
Do you remember LoD? Do you remember 1.10? This complaint about S4 making your gear less valuable is like complaining about either of those in D2. It just isn’t a very sound argument, brother. These games always shake things up, especially in the first couple years. If you want to complain about them improving the game, at least wait a few years first for the development to stall out, assuming that happens. 
I play all 5 classes, so yes I have a necromancer. I should say Played though, past . I tense. I expected so much more from D4. The legacy that David Brevik and the rest of the original developers created was never intended to be a MMO. In fact MMOs didn’t really exist then, since the internet itself barely existed. Those of us old enough tobremember, know this. It has turned into something else. Seasonal only you say? Perhaps it is NOW. It wasn’t vin the originals. As all things succumb to entropy, this game has too. R.I.P. original diablo.l and the vision of its creators.

I probably will delete all 5 well developed characters and everything in my ample, generous 6 tab stahsh and start fresh with this new game, Diablo 4.5, but I’m still pissed about it. Yeah, but this is D4 not D1 and even if you don’t play seasons, the game was advertised as a live service game, which means that it will change overtime.
Also, you rage the game is in beta, etc, etc., but you decided to invest your time in it, if it was this bad why did you make it?
Moreover, you claim the game is not seasonal or blah blah blah, the original creators of the game had introduced ladders in D2, were you there arguing when LoD launched with rune words and all your gear was suddenly worse? Besides, D3 was not perfect, but thanks god it didn’t become what was the original plans for it, from the creators of the series, which was to make it a MMO.
Lastly, your items are not being removed from the game, you can still do the same content you could before, so all your arguing is pointless. You might not be able to do the new and more interesting content, but this should not matter for you, since you didn’t want any change or upgrade, right?
Dude, don’t delete and start over. Just use existing gear to find new as you play and change builds as you PERMANENTLY acquire good aspects. Your level 100s should have everything they need in a week to start crafting/enhancing top gear, probably much less time.
It was advertised as a Live Service Seasonal game. I understand you do not like this, but this discussion/issue started well before launch. To claim you are unaware it was a seasonal game, means you just did not look for any info or marketing material before purchasing.
That said, there is an eternal server to play on. I play on both, I run one seasonal then I go back to my eternal character.

Agreed. That is what I will do. All in this game is dynamic. Always looking for that better piece. I’ll use current gear until I get the hang of master working and tempering. Upgrades, as it’s always been and always will be with ARPG’s.
The new codex is brilliant. Will clear up much storage space. There are many good things about 1.4. I do like the Changes, blizz has been very proactive about listening to its player base. They even did exclusive Q&A sessions with Raxx and Rykker. My gripes are just me whining about how the game should have release in the state 1.4 is in, but hindsight is 20/20. 1.4 would not be happening if not for the feedback that resulted from millions of players giving feedback that they listened to D3 was a mess, too until loot 2.0 and rise of the necromancer came out.

Incorrect. Another case of “everyone knew this was a seasonal game”. No. We knew it would HAVE seasons. But that that’s ALL it would have.
Live service game, yes, means many changes happening and game environment dynamically changes in real-time based on an individuals interaction with that environment.a seasonal only game though? If that wete true, blizz would not maintain the eternal realm, which it dies. These changes are also going to take effect on eternal simultaneously.

Missing the point entirely. Live service does not mean seasons only. I have been playing Diablo since 1997. I am fully aware of the dates and details of ladders, leaderboards, intruding of seasons in d3, not d2, I’m not dis ussing D2R, which is an overlay of D2, a direct facsimile, just has updated graphics. Features not in the original D2 were later added, but D2R IS D2 as it was then. D2R is not a new game, so I fail see the relevance in this context.
My point was simply that it sucks having spent a year min/maxing characters only to see them become obsolete overnight. The changes are primarily good. Having to revamp all of my characters after wiring so hard to get them optimized is not good.,although I do realize it is necessary. It just sucks. In the end, i will look back on how pathetic D4 was prior to 1.4. Might even have a good time replacing my legacy gear with the new system’s gear.
Won’t know until tomorrow.
I wonder how they’re dealing with existing ubers. I have heard that masterwork and tempering will be possible on regular unique items, so we will finally get to change unique affixes. Ubers, IDK. I do know that we won’t be alloted in extract affixes from uniques, but apparently we can masterwork and temper them.
Also, Wendy’s drive through notwithstanding I think the original post in 2023 has more relevance now than it ever had
