Tier 13 Nightmare key has negative Resource Burn. All mobs, including melee, are burning Primary Resource. Energy in this case on a Rogue. I know melee is burning Energy because i pealed one melee mob away and let the ghoul attack me. Energy dropped by 12% each hit.

Also tested this myself as I noticed I just permanently had no energy even with no ranged mobs around.
Can confirm melee attacks are also draining resource, making this affix even worse than it already is normally.

Can confirm that melee monsters burn resource, have to salvage all those dungeons since they are totaly unplayable for my build at the moment

I came on to the forum to report the same. The affix states “from a distance” but melee mobs are also burning my druid’s resources. Happening to me in every dungeon. Currently running Domhainne Tunnels.

This affix needs to be removed until it’s fixed… there is no counter as ALL mobs burn resource and its beyond frustrating.

I can corroborate this claim. Even when all creatures in the nearby area are sucked into melee range via a heart of malignance, my druid spirit gets completely drained with this affix.
Not only do melee mobs proc this but it seems to be burning way more resource than stated. Just did a T25 where one melee mob was taking away 40 fury ( I have a max of 113) with each hit when the modifier claimed 16%.

Came here to report the same bug. And not only all mobs, all effects are burning resource. Lightning balls on the ground, the spinning lightning, the damage from building up ice explosions. Every single thing that “hits” the player drains resource. And as other have stated, it’s MUCH more than is stated. The 16% per hit is way off, I’ve got 115 mana and a single hit from any mob takes me down to about 15 mana.
Same bug here, dredge man donjon, key 22. Melee mobs are burning resource, impossible to kil anything as a barbarian. I had to leave the donjon and do another one. Need fix ASAP.

Devs confirmed that when patch 1.1.1 drops this and cold enchanted affixes on nightmare dungeons will be completely removed from the game.

I’m glad I’m not the only one experiencing this enjoyment ruining bug. Personally, I wouldn’t really mind if the resource burn challenge stayed, albeit worked as described (i.e. only on distant/ranged attacks). This bug that is causing all attacks, including close melee ones, to drain your resource meter make these dungeons essentially unplayable.

I just experienced this and came on here to post about the bug. I just read the patch notes for 1.1.1 and the fix is in, so it should be fixed on Tuesday.
would be nice if this is fixed. as of now resource burn on a tier 65 deadmans dredge was a different level of nightmare
