All Dungeons Should be Nightmare Dungeons

In Torment difficulty, all dungeons should be nightmare dungeons by default. There is no reason you would want to run a normal dungeon once you’re in torment difficulty and it’s frustrating seeing whisper dungeons when you don’t have the sigil for it. It would be so nice to just be able to teleport to whisper dungeons and have them be nm version to get the masterworking mats and get the whisper progress.

Totally agree. Since they have the same difficulty and only the loot changes there is no reason to differ.

has been suggested here a while back. i for sure dont hate the idea, especially since dungeons kinda lost their identity with all these changes.

Im not sure if that would make dungeons interesting, but its for sure not the worst idea - especially since we could drop the nmd sigils :stuck_out_tongue:

I wouldn’t complain about having the bag space back on top of the whisper thing.

Absolutely, it’s just more crap that’s clogging my stash and you’d be insane to do a regular dungeon in torment difficulty. The affixes should just randomly rotate between dungeons.

I wouldn’t mind seeing it at-will, or a stackable sigil that’s all-purpose and maybe drops rarely, and is expensive to craft. Something going back to launch’s multiple NMD affixes, they could come in different groups and you select how many you want when you launch the dungeon, (kind of like MMO’s that let you select between dungeon difficulties,) each one serves as a loot multiplier.

Make dungeons the “Generic” content where some of all end game rewards can be found, but maybe not to the extent of like, specialized content (like, let events drop ancient glyphstones with one or two upgrade chances on success, number of difficulty modifiers + success at event could determine relative pit level.*) Rest can be drops like GA/tributes from boss, obducite and runes from elites, etc.

*Or, preferably, just go back to glyph XP. Higher pit= more XP, and torment level + NMD difficulty + mastery of event determines NMD event glyph XP.)

I asked for this on the ptr forum. Dumb you need sigils.

agreed and a really good points about whisper dungeons.

This would be motivation enough to no just farm a single dungeon over and over.

Another option would be to turn sigils into some kind of bonus that can be applied to any dungeons for additional mats, but honestly your idea is best.

Agreed. Get rid of the keys for these altogether.

agreed, makes sense and cleans up bag space.

Actually all dungeons should be Nightmare Dungeons, but Sigils can still exist to convert them into Tormented dungeons for example, which scales them even further to be way harder and with better rewards.

T4 is honestly just not enough, we need more possibilities to raise difficulty other than the pit. I like doing NMD, I prefer them to Hordes actually, but they are very easy to be honest.

I like this idea, although it should just be some generic stackable sigil that would convert them - or maybe a few different ones with varying difficulty/rewards similar to 6/8/10 hordes. Speaking of which, why the hell aren’t infernal compasses stackable…

I dont agree. I think choosing to make them a higher difficulty should be up to the player. Instead of Nightmare dungeon scrolls, it should just be a toggle at the portal for what difficulty you want it to be.

But NMD are not higher difficulty. That’s the whole point. It’s literally dungeon from your Torment tier with slightly altered rewards.

Sigils can be used for tree whispers but all tormented dungeons should drop occidite

They are higher difficulty, Im running Nightmare dungeons right now and I do not clear them as quickly as regular dungeons. I also do not want some random mechanic like the shadow orbs or the lightning pyres on ordinary dungeons.

Hmm, I never even noticed this higher difficulty honestly. Everything is one-shotted anyway. And I play necro, not SB.

On torment 1, a NMD is about the same as a Pit level 25.

I’m a bit detached from normal difficulties right now as anything beside pit is not making a difference to me anymore, so you are probably right. But I certainly remember that jump from T2 to T3 was very big and painful, even more noticeable than T3->T4.

in this season, Nightmare dungeons are totally worthless.
