I’m on my backup laptop with a controller. How the heck do you aim Soar with a controller? It feels like I am back with Firewall and Hydra aiming with a controller lol. When I hit Soar, I Soar like twice the distance of my target mob
It’s fairly easy with a mouse and keyboard.
Yeah its bad and given how Scoundrel’s Kiss qas in the past, I get the vibe that controller comfort is a very low priority.
My workaround is to move half way back so it hits my target lol. I figured if I always miss by 50% forward, so if I move back 50%, then I will land to my target.
Man, I should get bonus points for doing that extra work
Maybe the SB designer is the one dev who plays M+K… bc this game is definitely designed around controller. Probably they’ll adjust it, since everyone else on the team will have griped about this internally.
Tangentially, Falling Sword was one of maybe 3 Crusader skills I wouldn’t have minded in a future Paladin class… looks like SB claimed it already.
Aim with a controller is broken across the board. It can be really frustrating at times, you’re pointing in the direction of enemies, you trigger the attack (any attack) and the character executes it in some crazy direction. It’s why I don’t play rogue anymore, the aiming mechanic is terrible.
I used to write bug reports on this (more than a year ago), but it seems bliz isn’t interested in fixing it so… yea. Sorry, I’m still a bit salty about this one cuz using a keyboard and mouse kills my hands, I can only really play with a controller.

Playing rogue with joypad using umbracrux and poison trap is like:
“oh noes where did my totem go?”
At a big event with thousands of effects everywhere: you have 7 seconds time to find your totem and solve this hidden object scene before it vanishes.
