Can we get a easier way to trade? No one is using trade chat and discord server is impossible to manage.
We tried that in D3. It sucked. Go and kill monsters instead.
I think a trade chat/ AH would be great. Not real money of course. But yeah, as of now discord servers are the only way to trade.
Honestly just make trade chat global. It’s currently sequestered to just your current shard—thats why its dead. You’re only ever in the channel with max 12 people.
I’m so sick and tired of relying on the d4 public discord for trade and LFG. The people who organize it are dysfunctional and unorganized as all hell. There’s over 20 different channels for trading and they’re limited to 1000 total posts that the mods have to constantly archive because of the weird “post” method they’ve decided to use. The d2 discord did trading just fine in a regular channel.
Trading for GG rares is actually fun. If you can do it. Make an auction house or open up trade chat. Open up an LFG channel while your at it—and don’t require me to add strangers to my bnet friends list to join their group for an hour. I’ll add them if I like them. It’s a constant management of my f list to add people and invite them constantly.
For a game that incentivizes social play and group play you have NO SYSTEMS to enable that type of environment. You’re leaning way too hard on a public community discord run by NEETS. Get it together man, you’re a PUBLIC COMPANY.
D3 chat, in no way, shape, or form, sucked. RMAH sucked because Blizzard is notoriously bad at managing or addressing bots and gold farmers, but let’s be honest since I get 10-15 friend requests trying to sell me gold every time I play, they’re not even able to handle them now.
This isn’t an argument for RMAH it was terrible, but I really wish the old chat channels would be brought back.
Sometimes people would go awal but no more than they do in WOW and there have been a countless number of times the chats helped me with build questions and seasonal quests. I detested the “can someone PL me” chats but since that’s irrelevant they won’t take over the chats.
Something I personally really love about D4 is no AH.
I’m not sure I want to see an AH but communication in game definitely needs improvement. It is bad design to require your players to use an out of game platform (be it these forums or Discord) to find groups and trade.
There a official discord trade area? Since when? Lol
