Affliction damage not triggering

Damage from the Affliction skill does not trigger with too many monsters/effects on the screen. Even 10-20 enemies can cause this, not sure if there are other effects also interfering.

I know it’s an old post, but it’s still occuring as of S9. If you cast a curse on afflicted ennemies (with easy to see effects like slow and Vulnerability), the damage sometimes won’t proc. Either there’s an internal cooldown based on how many enemies are affected at a given time (like most prox based key pasives and effects), or there’s a glitch somewhere.

It’s kind of sad as it would be great otherwise.

Edit : Turns out it was really bad when there were a lot of monsters around, and the higher the damage numbers or procs per second there was, the more “intense” the issue was (lag, skipped procs).

Come Pit 65+, lag started to become more and more of a nuisance : Mobs wouldn’t die “instantly”, they would linger around and end up not being hit by the affliction proc. Casting Iron Maiden over and over on vulnerable mobs did nothing and only a few mobs were getting hit. The bigger the pack, the worst it was.

Turns out the seasonal power I was using (the summons ones, I was too lazy to change it) was causing some weird issue, preventing damage from being done and maybe causing lag spikes at the same time.

As soon as I removed the minions/summons from my build, damage procs went back to normal and it works fine now and hits every single time.
