AFFIX FILTER! a solution to the item comparison problem?

Hello Diablo IV community,

I’m having a great time playing the game but I’m spending more time looking at everything I picked up compared the amount of time I’m killing monsters.
There have obviously been discussions about an Item filter.
But what about an affix filter?
I think its a great idea and could be a solution for the current item comparing nightmare. It would work just as you would imagine, you filter out all the affixes on the items that you don’t want and only the affixes you want wil be visible to you. This means that an item with no affixes could actually have 4, but none of these are any of your desired affixes. If the Item has 2 affixes on it its means that it can have more but it’s only showing those because you filtered the other one(s) out. If an Item has 4 affixes on it, it would mean that all the affixes on the item are actually affixes you want on the item. You could filter out bleeding damage if you don’t use bleeding. You could filter out barrier if you don’t use barriers etc. So basically all the undesired affixes disappear from every item ONLY VISUALLY when opening your inventory.

This idea could have many different ways to implement of course but I would still call it an affix filter. For example you could make it so that the big damage bucket affixes are grayed out. Or color them make the vulnerable affix written in purple text, resistances in the colors that fit the resistance type for when they might make a comeback (side note: I’m an advocate for the way d2 does resistances but it gets a bit messy when int gives you resistances and stuff but just a great example) , etc. Another option could be making the text for the unwanted affixes smaller instead of making it disappear.

However you want to look at it or implement it, I’m in dire need (being a bit dramatic here) of a solution and I think an affix filter could be the solution.
I would even dare to say I’m convinced this is going to be even more helpful than a Loot filter.

Love,

Thanks for the support

Support you also! They should take a look in the way Last Epoch does it, these devs have nailed this part in their game.
