With all changes available to the eternal realm and no seasonal mechanic, what’s the incentive to create a seasonal barb over re- farming gear on an eternal barb?

There are the uniques you get from the iron wolves, but to be fair they are junk ones anyway.
There is a season theme though. Between the wolves rep and the season journey the amount of boss mats and other rare materials you get makes it worth it. I’m talking hundreds of boss mats and hundreds of masterworking mats.
The profane mindcage also makes helltides so much better with the increased cinder drop rate the mindcage gives you, you can easily open every chest in the helltide and still have hundreds left over.
And the holy bolts pot just makes easy work of pot trash, that one kinda needs a nerf though.
So in the short run, eternal can be good for a quick test of build, but if I want to push the pit higher, then start a fresh barb is best since their is a slog to masterwork?
Blasting Helltides with a bunch of Randoms is great fun - more chance of that running a seasonal character.

well you could farm every uber unique possible just by doing the iron wolf rep?
also, you might like some of the free battlepass cosmetics eventually?

I finished all the seasonal stuff. I had a sudden urge to see if my old barb build could work in the new patch without the time sink of starting again.
I’m wondering if the tempering and Masterworking would be a substantial power increase over his optimised old / legacy gear. If someone can confirm then I would have to start again, but if the masterworks 12/12 is just on par with a 5/5 improved legacy items then it’s eternal. Thoughts anyone on this matter?
it is not. not even close to.
Cosmetics this season are REALLY good for completing the season pass. Like IMO they are better than the last two seasons. That alone is a good reason.
Second, the speed to level up a new barb is WAY faster than before. Just do helltides until 60 and that is only a few hours.
Lastly, kinda easy to at least get 1 uber now with doing 4x chars for lvl 18 rep with iron wolves. You could spend the same time doing 200 duriels and get nothing so yeah its fun to be able to chase loot by putting in some time.
