Add support for 32x9 blizzard!

there is no reason that this isnt a thing, i know others mentioned a few months back, but it is stupid to play and have black bars… and its not just that, the text actually goes into the black bars and shows up… add 32x9 support! dont be lazy blizzard

they did this so sorc and barbs didnt have an unfair advantage in pvp. Since sorc and barb could leap/teleport to the futherest part of the map that the user could see

limiting range would have fixed this instance… having full game view would not

But again if you can see 3 or 4 inches more of screen compared to the guy without a wide screen monitor - you get an unfair advantage.

I have a very wide screen too and during closed beta, it was awesome (they didnt adjust the monitor until wudijo(spelling) showed how he could exploit the wide screen with his rogue…

gotta love streamers…

they could always just set a render distance limit, so there is no unfair advantage. still see the terrain but no enemies or players render past a certain distance.

but then that would defeat the purpose of people wanting 32x9. they need that advantage.

Im not worried abput the pvp aspect and yes i understand that. But having the full glory of 32x9 would actually be nice… i jist dropped 2k on a 57 neo g9 and it looks ridiculous with pasted black bars… which is what they did hah… swams like an overlay tbh… but the same argument could be made for 21x9 pc users vs 16x9 (console gamers) thats an unfair advantage yet its supported… the the actual 32x9 not being used esp for pvp is an invalid point after these facts

nice! I really like my g7 32inch… It’s almost too big for my desk haha

Thats what i have as well, but im contemplatong returning the 57

I stand corrected then with the assumption that most people want it for the advantage it gives.

setting an “object” render limit while still rendering terrain at that resolution is def something blizzard should look into then. having annoying black bars on the sides and wasting all that real estate of a nice new monitor is a crappy feeling no doubt.

I also have an advantage over a dude with a 13 inch laptop monitor. Guess what. I don’t care.
If you want to compete, you need the hardware. Don’t handicap me for it.

Also talk about competition in diablo 4 :face_vomiting:

I have a 34" 21:9

Could be a option but hoestly having a max range limit no matter how far you click would keep the advantage of jumping around taken away

So does a better mouse, a better refresh rate on the monitor, a better graphic card, cpu, etc.

Your line is pathetic.

the mobile game ‘the walking dead’ does some screen lock limitation too… I bought a iPad Pro max and when I play on my iPhone the amount of screen i see is the same amount on my iPad Pro… kinda sucks since i have a rifle with unlimited range but you cant actually use it at unlimited range since that game screen locks you into a smaller range.

?? its the truth, sometimes the truth hurts but its never pathetic. I liked having a wider view when I played in the closed beta before they opened it up to the public, it was great having all that viewing space

No, I mean calling it an “unfair” advantage.

Based on this “truth”, a guy with 5 hours a day playtime, has an “unfair” advantage over one with only 2 hours right?!

…unfair! :man_facepalming:

not sure what rabbit hole you are trying to go down, you seem abit angry for some unknown reason.

Life isnt fair.

People will always have more of “x” than someone else, thats just the way it goes.

Simple way to allow 32x9 support without giving PVP players advantage would be to add a fog of war effect in PVP zones that reduces full vision to 16:9 ratio. Probably won’t happen though considering we can’t even zoom out to non nausea-inducing levels due to forced cash shop cosmetic visibility.

blackbars are bad. they should make it have some kind of fog on the sides instead or something.

still no advantage but at least no drastic black voids.

*whoops. too late someone already had the idea
