Add Private Mode

Regardless of personal preferences and opinions on Shared World, there’s no excuse to force people into it. It’s not right to remove player choice.

All events already can scale down to match 1 player. Just do it Blizzard, Shared World seriously ruins what would otherwise be an amazing Diablo game for some people.

This game is not for you then.

Persistent open world is not private world.

I don’t see the issue in someone leaving their feedback here. You don’t have to read it, nor reply

Unrealistic ideas is poor feedback and needs to be countered.

Add Private Mode (2)

Would be fantastic if we had the option to play, explore and know the world by ourselves (completely solo) and if we want to, play with the mmo style after the end game. I was playing couch coop and this new system definitely was a NO for me.

You always have a choice: to play or not to play

that is the choice

It’s been said every time this idea pops up; The game is not made for a solo mode or for hiding other players.
Your choice is to either play the game or not, but it won’t be changing.

I highly doubt they ever add this. The game was designed from ground up to be an open shared world. That is their vision for this game.

Personally I like it. I understand why some players don’t but I also don’t really think it’s that big of a deal. I seen maybe one or two people occassionally when not in town.

This is something that the offline group of people is just going to have to accept or just not play the game.

The only problem I’ve seen so far is plebes making world boss more difficult while leeching rewards.

Can you provide a logical argument against the current design? How does seeing another player affect you in any way?

You can play the entire game alone, at no point are you forced to join a party or interact with other players. If a nearby player helps you with an event or a kill, you still get all the same rewards you would without help. All of the major story content is instanced.

People seem to forget how social D2 was back in the day. The game was designed around party play providing an advantage, with increased drops and XP.

They are making a specific kind of game for a specific audience. They made a fully conscious design choice. You appear to be outside the target audience. There is no going back, D4 marks a new future. There are plenty of other solo games to play.

I don’t understand why you came here so arrogant and answering like you have official answers. We’re not asking for them to chance the game and its original aspects. You will keep playing the game like it meant to be. We’re just asking for an OPTION to play in a private/solo lobby.

Lots of people don’t appreciate meeting unknown players, it doesn’t matter if are just a few and didn’t bother you. It’s a personal style of a group. Me and my couch co-op would like to explore the open world alone. I consume Diablo games since I was a child, so of course D4 is for me too, and I have the right to ask an important addition.

Why tho? Just turn off nametags and its basically just adding to the immersion like towns feel alive and you occassionally see other hunters

and yet you didn’t HAVE to play that way.

Anyone against this is afraid that too many people would choose the solo option and they would have less people available in their open world.

I’m fine either way and will play either way, but if the option to have a solo game where I had to kill and achieve goals alone was available I’d certainly be choosing that.

And people have said this OPTION is not feasible with how the game works.
Just because you want that OPTION does not mean the OPTION is valid or should be made.

‘More options’ is not always a good thing.
What if I want the option to play Diablo 4 like an FPS; Should the devs drop everything to give me that option?
What if I want D4 to be a turn-based RPG? Well ‘It’s just an option! More options are always good!’ So get cracking, devs! Rework the entire game to give us more OPTIONS!

Dumb examples that aren’t the same thing. You can already turn off cross play. You could turn off open world. As already said, single player scaling is already available.

I don’t like when I’m doing an event that is challenging and 4-5 more people show up and ruin the experience for me. Like I said, I’ll deal with it, but I’d choose the single option were there one.
