the only chance for D4 is Pit leaderboards for solo and 2, 3, 4 party. otherwise the game will just die.

It already exists, just not in the game. As usual Blizzard lets a third party website track the statistics.

I got always a spot on D3 leaderboard and no cheat at all, even low paragon. knowing to play the game means more than just buyng some items and not know ehat to do with them.

Leaderboards are announced for the second expansion, so 2026.
Unfortunately, we’re at a point in technology now that you’ll never be able to get a top spot without cheating. And it’s not just Diablo. It’s any online game with reasonable popularity. And even non-cross-play, console only, isn’t safe.
It’s the downside of technology. Technology has made cheating easy, and it’s only going to be worse. Sadly, there is absolutely nothing that can be done to stop this. I.e. Zero solutions.
I couldn’t care less about pit leaderboards and I used to get top50, sometimes top 10, on D3 seasonal leaderboards at under 3k paragon playing solo.
I dont understand how leaderboards are going to make diablo better. Maybe there is some people interested in pushing high pits, but its pretty much waste of time if you are trying to gain experience.
This doesn’t work in D4, everyone knows how to play perfectly by watching the rank 1 players recorded Pit run in YT. The only difference between players are the gears, which RMT will be the solution.
Because then you are motivated to push pit levels, level your glyphs to 100… improve your gear/build further more.
Of course, this is not a thing that it’s motivating for 100% of all players - but for many of them.
How about a proper ladder first? Who gets to level 300 faster divided by class?
Ive seen racing games that have lap times like 15 seconds. REALLY??

Leaderboards will not mean anything.
Why?
Because everyone will following the same Builds.
All that matters is how much time have you put into MasterWorking.
That’s not Skill that’s time.
Leaderboards are worthless. Why? Because anyone with enough time can be number 1.
No leaderboard, I don’t want to see Elon Musk pay someone to take all number spot again

Very few people care about leaderboards except old timers (about 10 of them) who keep posting over and over again to this forum.
They MUST HAVE a place to brag about themselves…pitiful. LOL
