Add mini-pets, and then allow them to auto pickup look. Also make it so you can define which loot they pick up… Like All gems, Legendary and above, etc…

That sounds a lot like Lost Ark and BDO idk dude!
In Torchlight 2, your pet runs around and picks up gold piles. That’s what we need.

You still have to run over it. My golden retriever ran over to it and picked it up.

Sending pets back to sell stuff would be nice. OP sounds like BDO, especially pets plural.
Also while some people might disagree… make them so the player who owns them only sees them.

My only issue is that pets too-easily devolve into cosmetics that aren’t thematic.
I don’t really need to see a pet running around. Just increase the loot radius to infinity and give us really good filter options for what we do and don’t want to autoloot. Even better if we can program what we want to vendor or salvage, too. Just make items dropped by (or visible to) other players exempt from autoloot.

I would love to be able to send a pet to auto salvage my inventory
Or just hit “T” and do it yourself, it takes 30 seconds.
The same could be said about a lot of quality of life things.
There’s a fine line dividing QOL and laziness. D4 doesn’t drop enough loot to warrant a pet for this and all the annoying stuff, gold, ore, plants, etc… are already auto pickup.
