Add horse racing?

I know this might be a far stretch but I really think Diablo should add horse racing component into the game. We already have PvP, why not make it a little fun.

This would be a bad idea as cooldown reduction apples to the horses speed boost

no it actually doesnt. it is actually movement speed that reduces the horse sprint. my minion necro that has 200% movement speed has the sprint up 24/7. my sorc that has insane cdr does not, because i have slower movement speed

But thats awesome. Thats a reason to create a new character and make a special horse riding build.

I would do this, for fun.
it’s a shame I deleted so much (GA)gear with movement speed.

The winner gets the Zul Gurub tiger mount from WoW. Funny thing is, i just took a look in teh interwebz and compared our DIV tiger mount and the WoW one. Nearly look the same with armor attached. :laughing: Ok… a “bit” different.

I think its more of an obstacle course. Put small pebbles along the path so the horse gets stuck haha.

Ahahahahahaha I was just about to mention this vid from Carbot. How can you have a horse race when the horse gets hung up on a pebble.

Yes!! I agree! Also add Diablo Soccer! Make a field of soccer and use a diamond with full or disabled inventory and constantly click on it to try to pick it up and move it around. Horse racing… Pf! :crazy_face:

IT Should be who has the Flashiest most awesome most pretty horse (and yes the owner has to be judged to).

I think they would make better sales from those horses, if they had different stats, ie. red horse runs faster, but has lower spur cooldown, blue horse has faster spur cooldown, but runs slower, white horse has more spurs, so on and so forth, but at the same time have alternatives of these as rewards and killing Lilith each season to keep having the best horse (you lose it every season, but get it back when you defeat her) which has everything maxed out… You get where I am going, no? Oh, yes… And make the b!tch drop useful loot…
