Hi,
With so many aspects now, so many combinations, not to mention uniques and mythics, we struggle to find a good build for the end-game. It’s very complicated, honestly, to build something good. Most of the time we hit a wall at Pit 50, and it’s hard to find what aspect, unique, or mythic could break that wall, or what we could improve in our build.
That’s why I propose a great, amazing, fabulous in-game build helper, named Buildo (or another name). It should be in-game to avoid having to use a website during our gameplay and mess with another system.
Using Buildo, we can have some graphs, like a radar chart, showing the strengths and weaknesses of our current build. In addition, it could suggest aspects or affixes to improve, as well as some uniques or mythics. And of course, our position compared to the average, and the popularity of our build. I bet we can add some other stuff to this idea as well.
I think we need it. Buildo is the future. Vote for Buildo to make Diablo great again. Also we should rename the Gulf of Mexico into Gulf of France in my opinion, from an historic point of view.
Thanks for reading.

im never against more information inside the game, but what you are proposing absolutely wont happen my friend. Like, theres is literally a zero % chance ^^
Just like in any game that revolves around mechanics, there are certain things that you will learn over time. For example you can see stats caps etc if you hover your mouse over the stats etc.
Other than that - it never hurts to asks people here, over time youll know pretty much everything ^^

There’s like 4 different websites doing build guides + countless youtube videos
I doubt anything ingame will ever happen
Pit 50 is the barrier for Torment 3.
You can just keep masterworking your gear and clear that with a less than perfect build.
An in game planner would be nice.

the “fabulous in-game build helper” is a double-edged sword that can also immediately expose errors, bugs, or incompetence in the game, making the devs a laughingstock 24x7 non-stop.
so, things like damage calculation need to be normalized first.

The interwebs is your friend.
The thing your asking for already exists mobalytics has an in game overlay

It’s a common sense ask, except for the part about Gulf of France…really…it’s either Gulf of Spain or Gulf of Shrimp by the lens you are looking for.
Okay, but on topic, the only real problem with your ask is it doesn’t take into account bugs. And there so are, so, so many bugs that you just don’t know if something is supposed to help or hurt your build when actually played in game. So sadly, the best approach is to use non in-game resources where the bugs are known and either capitalized or avoided.
We could ask for better QA, but the season is starting to feel more like ‘if it’s not broken, we will break it with the next patch’.

I have a feeling isoARPGs are going to die in my lifetime. Interesting.
To your question the point is that you’re not supposed to know what’s out there. You run into a new unique you’ve never seen before and go, “Oh!”, that’s the game. The aspect codex is weird in that regard; I like it but it does definitely ruin that part of the game where you no longer get to say, “Oh!” at new aspects.
Once you get a dictionary of all items in a game where your goal is to discover items it’s kind of over, no?

Let me see if I understand. You want an in game build guide from the folks who can’t balance the game to begin with. Really?

Honestly, it’s very complicated to find a build suitable for Pit 70+. I finally got one, but it was quite painful to find after trying lots of other builds. I think it’s the same for many players, so they just follow a meta-build, which can break the gameplay or server.
We could at least have some suggestions for builds. The developers who create aspects have ideas behind them, such as build synergies. Additionally, I’m pretty sure they have tons of data from users’ builds. It shouldn’t be too much work to add some build stats.
I mean, it’s not unfeasible, and it would help a lot of players.
Maxroll .gg → Tier Lists → Pit Pushing
Path of Diablo… now with tooltips on the Paragon Board
… like the game the name should not be spoken out loud
A build planner would be nice, so you can have something in-game to refer to when placing your paragon and skill points. But you’d have to set that up yourself.
I draw the line at pre-defined builds you can select. Websites do this already and it would lesson one’s critical-thinking skills when it comes to assessing an item/aspect/board for relevance to your build.

So I hate your idea but I strongly support it.
Even though I think and feel that the game is about the exploration what you’re suggesting is a nudge. You want a hint. You got stuck and you want something that says, “try this!”, like any other puzzle game of sorts.
I don’t know how to implement your idea so that it isn’t cheating in my mind but that’s my lack of imagination which should not be mistaken for your idea being a bad one. I mean I can’t say, “I don’t think most people would get to T4 on their own!” and then also be against hints on how to do that because that’s against teaching people how to play and that’s just stupid.
The lack of a real tutorial and guidance in the game is not so great and while there are hints dropped solely on the difficulty selection screen it is really a good idea to have some kind of suggested build or combo at the ready in a tutorial fashion. I don’t want it to be S-tier stuff from MaxRoll but I do want it to be something fair and equitable which shows the importance of doing certain things or understanding multipliers.
So, after some thought, I really do think you’re right. For those who want or need the instruction or suggestion it should be available.
I want to add that there should be a hard cap to the help though. So it should be like Pit 85. After that you really need to be on your own or just look something up if you give up.

In other words, you’re asking to remove the “RPG” from ARPG. LOL
Bold of you to assume Blizzard understands how the best builds even work. Did you not see the starter build mess that was the Eternal Character Boosts?

I have been shying away from third party apps because this game is so ban happy with add ons.

That feature would sure add some ‘interesting’ threads to this forum.
I can see it now:
- The In-Game Build Helper is not as good as: Maxroll, Icy-Veins, Mobalytics, or D4 Builds!!
- The In-Game Build Helper favors Class ‘A’ over Class ‘B’!!
- The In-Game Build Helper does not cover Build Type ‘A’ for Class ‘A’!!
- Maxroll Builds are the best!! Closely followed by "Mobalytics Builds eat Maxroll Builds for breakfast!!*

There’s lot of possibilities to implement it, for example we could have a list of recommended builds with their popularity, and we can pick a favorite, so after that when we move our cursor on our current gear we can have the build recommendation too. It’s just an idea but it can be better I guess. Creative people at Blizzard will have better ideas though.
