These are all good questions for the next dumpster fire chat.
Maybe if you’re bad. I played from release in hardcore inferno, and farmed A2 (how I made a ton of money on the RMAH)
Cause we still buy it anyway. For what is worth, this will probably be considered a success. In the end of the day the gaming industry really means an industry now, passion is a waste of resources.
Gotta stop buying crap
I’m sure you did, Napoleon.
Same, to some degree. I mean, I impulse bought it. I even told myself I was going to wait a couple days just in-case, still impulse bought it, so I will probably go back and reflect on my mental model that made it so I still did that, because I a little bit feel like I wasted the money here.
Well ya if you just ran right into act 2 on a melee class.
Like ranged builds were able to kite around and take the bees out. Melee had to farm act 1 for gear/levels before taking on the bees.
Was it awful? Yes. However it was very much playable.
Doesn’t mean much, since we’re comparing a game that was launched 12+ years ago. Personally don’t mean a crap to me, especially since D3 didn’t really get that good anyway.
I was a barb so… Clearly I had a different experience.
Was also a barb back then. I still remember Blizzard 100% gutting my build.
Forget the skill I was using (Most likely WW because I always start with a spin 2 win build in ARPGS) and I was stacking life gain on hit and attack speed. Making great progress only for Blizzard to nerf all attack speed by like 50%. Instantly had to drop back down to Act 1 and restart basically.
I probably agree with this, and yet, boy was it bad. Despite this, I still played the campaign multiple times in D3 and liked it to a decent degree. In D4, I’m currently having a tough time even finishing the campaign.
No. The people who are probably mostly still disagreeing and liking the game are the more casuals who are progressing through the game pretty slowly, so they are still at the place where the game is still semi-enjoyable.
This is a common phenomenom that has happened a lot too in POE when there was a bunch of bad patches. A lot of more casual players were saying that the game was fine and rebuking the people who were ahead of them, until a couple of weeks later when they finally caught up and started experiencing the trash too.
Man, these casuals are acting fairly short sighted.
Cool story bro… k
The corporate goal these days is “minimum viable product.”
We gotta wait for patches, but I’m really not sure about this one.
Not sure if you realize this, but here goes.
D1 was a terrible buggy mess at launch
D2 was a terrible buggy mess at launch
D3 was a terrible buggy mess at launch
Can you at least wait until the season comes out before crying…
We aren’t even to the real content yet and we got all you guys crying more than my 6 year old nephew…
And it took them ten years to make a copy of Diablo 3, just with Open World
I am offically renaming this forum to Diablo4 Ree Post Discussion
Bro ‘open world’ is very generous.
Everything is corridors with different graphical assets on the outside of the corridors. Replace the trees with bloody walls and you have a dungeon. They’re all the same layouts.
I am having fun and am very far from casual in anything I’ve ever played.
Most people have like 100+ hours invested into this game already. If you don’t think that is getting your moneys worth I don’t know what game you hold on such a pedestal above it.
I am top 5 percent in M+, have been sponsored to play halo in the past, and I am currently max level on my main in D4.
There is so much to do in this game even without seasons.
Alone I have made a 100 barb, 52 necro, and 34 sorc so far. I really want to try rogue and druid still as well.
And guess what in like 2 weeks they are going to drop a season that is going to flip everything upside down and make the game change up drastically. Giving us way more to do and check out.
I feel like half the people crying that the game is bad have insane played times. You are talking 200-300 hours played. They say their is no end game and all this garbage.
It’s diablo when did it ever have a real end game? The idea is too more or less endlessly grind and keep increasing your power as high as you can.
Regardless the end game is going to come with the seasonal content. All you people whistle blowing don’t realize this apparently.
NM’s are going to be the new M+ but for diablo. That is why they are numbered and have death counts. If you don’t realize this you are rather oblivious.
At least there’s PoE2 coming. Sounds like it will be uncontested. I’m not a huge PoE person, but at least they know how ARPGs work, and endgame motivation processes. Hopefully they fix the problems with PoE 1.

The game hasn’t even started yet. We aren’t even in the first season…
We are more or less doing an open beta right now, so they can get numbers right before heading into the season.
How all you randoms cannot figure this out? no idea?
