I was looking at d2jsp and Jesus is that place a cesspool full of whiny 50 year olds who can’t figure out how to play a game that is more than 2 button presses. Really hope the devs don’t take anything they say seriously. Ffs I lost brain cells reading their d4 posts.

D2jsp is why so many people like D2 buy currency buy gear. Make a build and do pvp which is the worst pvp system ever made but all we had 20 years ago.

Yeh I bet, why earn gear when you can just buy it. Ya know convince yourself you’re playing a game but you’re really not. I don’t get the point of it.
I am super guilty of it, but I played D2 for years before I jumped on the d2jsp train. I never want to see that again especially not in D4
Just a reminder, using JSP to trade is actually a violation of ToS and can get you banned (I know they’ve banned JSP users back in the day in D2 before the Resurrected version came out).

I used to hang around the D2 East PVP and Legit Dueling sections, but haven’t in many years and I think it’s a site-wide thing, they’re just as immature 15 years later lol.

Never have and never will. At that point why would I even bother playing the game. I’d just give up if I ever got to that point
I think I was around… 10 or so, when I realized cheat codes defeated the point of the entire game.
Well, I mean, if they’re the type of people who are willing to violate ToS and risk being banned just to get their jollies instead of, you know, playing the game and finding stuff themselves or trading for it through the game’s built in trade functions, of course their attitude towards the game isn’t exactly going to be healthy.

Same here, 007 tomorrow never dies. Bought a cheat code book at the school book sale. Killed the fun of the game and I was 8 and realized it
I don’t think that’s necessarily true.
For games like Soulsborne games, where the difficulty is the point of the game, sure.
But for games that are about the narrative, cheats actually help players who aren’t that great at games enjoy the story of those games. Because not everybody is going to be great at games, but that shouldn’t preclude them from enjoying a good story.
Are yo saying using JSP is violating the ToS? I may think there are plenty of losers on the site, but there is nothing wrong with using it as a trading hub… how else would trading be done?
Yeah, it’s a ToS violation because ToS forbids using 3rd party platforms to facilitate trading.
People have actually gotten reported and banned in D2 for mentioning they used JSP for trading.
I’m not saying it’s fair, just those thems the ToS.
That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard, speaking on the ToS. We’ll see what happens and if they’re dumb enough to ban people for using it, they’ll end up losing out far more than they’ll gain.
Just remember, that a lot of JSP users were D2 addicts, many of whom botted, maphacked and use other tools to increase their efficiency in play.
They weren’t ever going to quit D2. In fact, it benefitted Blizz to ban them because they’d end up buy a new CD key, meaning more money in Blizz’s coffers.
