So i haven’t played D4 in a while, and i just logged off Naraka Bladepoint and decided to do a campaign run to help my nephew and his friends beat the game with my level 62 sorc. However i am banned lol. I don’t know why until i just checked my email it says abuse of economy is why i am banned. I have a level 83 Eternal Rogue with 10mil and a level 52 Barb with 500k and my Season sorc with 13 mil lol. and the 13 mil i got from a friend i played with yesterday. Yet today i woke up banned. So is this another case where giving a new char or whatever too much gold results in a ban? i heard about a guy from the Diablo discord that got banned for getting too much gold from his friends. My email says i bought the gold from a third party lmao how tf did i buy gold from a third party when i spent $100 on my pre order for this game and my main has grinded for hours. And i have friends with level 100 season toons who plvl me and help me. Like what the heck is going on with Blizzard. Is it pointless to appeal this or even file a lawsuit or something. Like With the amount of exploits people do no one is banned but i am banned for getting 13 mil gold lmao?
EDIT: OBVIOUSLY THE LAWSUIT COMMENT WAS A JOKE BECAUSE I FIND THE BAN FUNNY. Any of you in the comments actually arguing the lawsuit comment are weird lol.
This kind of crap is why I refuse to trade at all. Receive gold? Omg, u bought it! Give away gold? Omg, u sold it! Literal clown company. They have no right to ban ppl based purely on assumptions.
The OP has a lot of words invested but actions speak louder every time.
Submit a ticket or buy another copy or leave forever. Those are the options. Posting here is pointless and could even make things worse because you could get actioned for trolling and blizz doesn’t discuss individual situations publicly.
people would laugh if they knew what the back end looked like to blizzard, and how they determined who cheated and who didn’t. Behind the scenes you would expect a nice clean log for lots of gm’s to look through and parse out the cheaters.
The reality is it’s handled by less than probably about 10 people and the code for checking who did what is TERRIBLE. Make no mistake, accross all games they only catch the most BLATANT cheaters/bots…and they only accomplish this by also banning lots of innocent people in the process.
Send a appeal and explain the situation. If your “friend” is really your friend then I’m sure blizzard will be able to see that your friend has been there for a long time and isn’t someone you recently added at a whim right?
