The announcement will be very welcome.
oh my god are you guys the shakogate guys? lol.
how many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man.
its a pve game, gold doesnt matter, who cares, why waste time with that?
go home, karen. Go home.
wait, ur the one asking for account action in a pve co op game, and im the karen here? what is this the upside down or something?
First I’ve even heard of it.
why do you care what happens in a single player game? You are super cringe.
Blizzard punish exploiters?
Hahaha good one
Blizzard Support - Blizzard’s In-Game Code of Conduct (battle.net)
You are responsible for how you and your account are represented in the game world. Cheating in any fashion will result in immediate action. Using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating.
While we encourage you to report players that are behaving in a disrespectful manner, falsely reporting another player with the sole intent of restricting their gameplay is also unacceptable and will result in penalties to your account.
If you’re unsure if your actions violate this code of conduct, reconsider them. We reserve the right to restrict offending accounts as much as necessary to keep Blizzard games a fun experience for all players.
its on their code of conduct
So I looked it up.
I died laughing.
makes me think of the Fable exploit back in the day with the supply/demand infinite gold trick. Took me back, thanks.
On that note, I doubt anything comes from this. This was Blizzards’ “oops”. All these people did was use the system presented. Looks like they already got it fixed as well yesterday.
I HOPE something comes of it. But I doubt it, don’t consider it an exploit per say considering how they achieved it.
Go home boomer, go home.
The patch notes has a very interesting entry:
Acquiring or re-allocating Seasonal Blessings will now clear the vendor buyback inventory.
So what happened: There is a season blessing called “urn of Bargaining”, which boost the amount of gold paid by vendors for items you sell to them.
These blessings, which you can allocate your smoldering ashes, and there is no cost in de-allocating them and allocating again.
Now imagine what happened:
People got some uniques in their bags, allocated the Ashes in Urn of Barrgaiing to increase the amount of gold they received by selling the items to vendors, then de-allocated them, reducing the buyback price, and then allocated again, selling again at highest price, indefinitely.
There are conversations of people already paying 540 million gold for rares right now… which to be honest, we all know they have been using this exploit since the release to get free gold, basically.
And to the Karen that is almost having a stroke asking why this is important: because there is a culture of exploit early, exploit often by Blizzard every time they notice something like this happening and don’t act on it.
If you don’t care, just go home, don’t bother me and other people who are actually concerned for the game healthy.
In D4 there are so many bugs it’s difficult to know when the game is working as intended.
Seriously though, why do you care? It is a single player game. How does it affect you at all? Does it stop your progress or enjoyment?
But this doesn’t negatively impact the health of the game at all, especially the fact that others whine about which is that there is no real trading economy in the game.
Gold-sinks of repairs, respecs, occultist will drain a good portion if not most of it away. And it gets reset at the end of the season or sent to the Eternal Realm anyway (which again, no one really seems to care about).
Much like Shako, this is a teeny-tiny molehill being made into the Mount Everest of problems. There isn’t even a leaderboard for Lilith’s sake!
Blizzard will do nothing, and also allow them to keep their gold.
We already seen this with shakogate.
Blizzard does not punish exploiters and in fact, basically the message they send is “go ahead and exploit as much as you want because you will get to keep what you got”
The UI indicates a cost to reallocate the ashes, a mere 100G on the first attempt, 300G on the next. So these costs didnt really apply or stopped to ramp up?
Cheating is Cheating though. I dont care but if they got banned I would care either lol.
Apparently, there’s some huge community support to make gold worth something.
In my opinion it’s pretty silly to try to make something that is readily available and not limited in supply, valuable lol. Pretty darn stupid actually…
this beta game sucks
how is it cheating? ???
