So, i was thinking… if they can find out that players have made trades for xx amount of gold for their item? couldn’t they also just check if that same player have made trade their gold for items? i would think that whole point of exploiting when those people who actually cheat buy gold with real money is to trade their gold for items? also blizzard can also check how many hours has the player played! couldn’t they? if xx player played very little hours and accumulated certain amount of gold by making trade would be very suspicious and most likely be guilty of this exploitive rmt but if someone has ton of hours and made trade their items for gold (not their gold for an item, because this could be RMT) how can someone with many hours played and trading items for gold be an exploitive action? It just doesn’t make sense and i would think it be the obvious and would be something very easy to figured out by blizzards technical people? are they so lazy that they don’t even actually check their actual problem here?

i’m betting these bans come from some bot that dishes out a ban anytime a criteria is met. Realistically the only way to deal with the shear volume. As a recently banned player, i’m disheartenedly thinking that the odds of a real person actually dealing with my appeal to be like 1 in 4 or less. so fully expecting my classification of ban to be sorted into a low chance of false posative pile. (exploiting) The fact that this is taking place during a ban wave puts the odds of the appeal even lower i’d guess. i bet the botters have scripts set up to appeal and damn near everyone banned is appealing. Even if they arn’t gonna get their accounts back, they still tie up the justice system. So i think the problem is the low chance of getting a human to seriously look at your appeal. Even then, people have bad days. last 10 appeals to look through b4 quota’s met for the day? stuck working the weekend? not saying this is the norm, but ya know, there are always the ones that slip through the cracks.edit I used a Ghub spam mouse click macro .Used for a period of probably 3-4 hours. Mostly for riding my horse. Did compare hold down vs spam. no noticeable difference for anyone curious… Admitted in appeal. asked for lighter sentence but to no avail. Users be warned!! Learn from my mistakes.
I agree. There is likely a threshold. This is why I stopped selling valuable Items for gold and instead started asking for elixirs or other items I needed. I sold a 4/4 811 xbow for a grip of fortitude elixirs.
the funny thing is that the person who i made trade with! (the one who gave me gold for my item) didn’t get banned and i was the one that got banned? makes no sense??? if trading gold for item is an exploitive action because probable cause is RMT? should the guy who gives gold be banned over someone who is giving the item?? how does this even make sense?
Not trying to be rude just asking the question…why are you even here? If a company mistakingly banned me with no path to being reinstated and cutting me off from something I paid a minimum of $70 for, I’d be gone and never buy anything from them again. This would be after doing a charge back, of course. They would be dead to me.

i’m here reading about everyone elses ban situations and waiting to hear back about my ticket. from what i’ve gathered it seems that for that shot at unban the only way is to keep appealing even tho you probably get told 2-4 times that the decision stands and you get 1 last shot once they say its final and no hope left. also if you were banned for using 3rd party software then it would say so as the description. so far i havn’t even heard back from them and i have 2 things that i think could have possibly got me here and i have proof that i am innocent of both so yeah just waiting for my shot. that being said, i will absolutely never purchase another blizzard title again if this isn’t fixed. edit just had a thought, you’ll know the wrongly banned by the fact you’ll never see them again, all those botters and the rest tho? 2nd edit I used a Ghub spam mouse click macro .Used for a period of probably 3-4 hours. This is another reason why I hate the game being online only. If I pay money for a game I should be able to play it forever offline. If you’re going to ban someone from playing a game that they already paid for, then you should give them their money back. If Blizzard is banning innocent people with no way to recoup their money, then I have a feeling that we’re going to be reading about this issue very soon.
