About Needless Camera Movement

There are various little problems with the camera in the campaign.

  1. The camera often moves back and forth for no good reason. Do it like in D2:LoD and DON’T MOVE the camera AT ALL. That’s the SIMPLEST and the BEST SOLUTION.

  2. The default combat camera range is too short. It’s shorter than in D3, where it was well done. Move it up a bit, so it’s as far as in D3.

  3. My Necromancer minions despawn during each cutscene and it looks terrible. A simple solution is doing a fade out/fade in before/after each cutscene with a hidden camera angle change during those fades. This should look consistent across all cutscenes.

  4. It’s best to have a CONSISTENT style for all minor cutscenes where camera is over the top. It’s wrong to have them differ so much. Develop a SINGLE, COHERENT cutscene style and STICK TO IT. The problem is the lack of coherent camera positioning.
