Four weapons, four Consecrations…
Sorcs, Necros, and Druids with two-handers like staves, polearms, or scythes each get an additional Consecration only one, lol.
For Barbs — adding a Consecration to Lamenting Berserker (Ramal’s Crusher) might sound like it increases difficulty, but honestly, class imbalance is inevitable anyway.
If Grandpa’s Sword and two-handed hammers each get their own Consecration, that’s four total Consecrations… meaning in theory, each two-hander could grant +4 to all skills, and one-handers +2 each — a total of +12 to active skills.
Of course, the difficulty of achieving that setup is insane, but even then, it can’t outperform other top-tier classes.
It’s ridiculous — like in D2, they should’ve just made weapon swap mechanics matter again. Instead, they let every option stack simultaneously just because you’re “holding” them all, which inevitably causes class imbalance, lol.
The entire armory system needs a redesign.
From a damage standpoint, Sorceress DPS has already dropped to a third of what it used to be.
And according to the patch notes, Necro’s spirit consumption cap is now 500 — forget about dealing in the trillions anymore.
Targeting three perfect tempering affixes is now basically impossible, and even +7 skill setups with triple synergy got nerfed down to +2 skills in some cases.
In short, the days of trillion-damage builds are over.
Barbs, on the other hand, got new leg options with the chainmail pants — they can even go full “Iron Fist Barb” now. Lots of new possibilities opened up.
Whoever designed this clearly wasn’t using their brain.
And now they want to add a leaderboard in this mess?
A passing dog would laugh.
I just hope the devs are at least aware of how broken this situation is.
