Abhorrent Decrepify Upgrade - Necromancer

I have been using the Abhorrent Decrepify upgrade for hours and it has yet to reduce any active skill cooldowns. Even when casting against large groups of 10-15 monsters. It is apparent that this is not working properly.

yup it doesn’t work for me either. absolutely worthless, even though it shouldn’t be (it should be an awesome skill for us essence-starved bone spear necros)

July 28th and still NOT WORKING.

Edit: I did not mean to necro post this, I was doing a search for a related topic and saw this and thought I would help answer it… but since this is useful info, I’m going to leave my reply up to help others understand.

I just tested on a target dummy in D4:VoH (2.0.2f), and it seems to be working to me…

Keep in mind… The way lucky hit is calculated, it’s the active Lucky Hit percentage, DECREASED by the “Skill Lucky Hit Modifier” (It’s called “Lucky Hit Chance” also, because you multiply them together to get the final Lucky Hit Chance, but IMO this is a bit weird wording and it would be more clear if the Skill tooltip said “Lucky Hit Modifer”)

Abhorrent Decrepify only has a 15% lucky hit chance.

So for example, Reap has a 39% Lucky Hit Modifier, so if you swipe Reap into a single target, it has 39% * 15% = 5.8% chance to proc… which is really not that big. The birthday paradox says you will need to swipe something like 10-13 times before it will proc ONCE… If you spam reap you can see this eventually happen. (it helps if you use Aspect of the Cursed Aura, so you dont have to reapply Decrepify)

Blood Surge has a 16% lucky hit modifier, so if you hit a single target with blood surge, you only have a 16% * 15% = 2.4% chance to proc… So you would have to hit something like 35 times to see a SINGLE likely proc, and you might often see as 80 hit without a proc, so this is really hard to see.

Howevever, if you spawn the 5 “multiple target dummies” and use a build where you can spam Blood Surge with attack speed, then you will see it proc…

Here is a video of both…
