My first character was a necro. When I first fought a Pit Tier 61 boss I thought, “Man, people must suck at this game. I cant believe they complain about this easy stuff.”
My second character is a Frozen Orb sorc. When I first fought a Tier 61 boss with him I thought, “WTF?? How am I not even hurting him??? AND WTF JUST KILLED ME??”
Its literally like playing 2 different games. Nailed it, Bliz!
When I first started looking at the skill tree a year ago, I assumed the Core skills all would basically do the same damage, you’re just deciding which to focus on.
Well, yes, but by today’s standards it’s just nothing.
And this t115 sorc will cost you like x20 comparing to necro or barb to speedfarm those levels.
Fo is dog tier build, but it is what it is.
There is no point in discussing this at all since we have no balance changes.
t115 is a lot, especially since i doubt that most people who discuss about “balancing” are even close to hit that. i mean, come on, noone can expect “balance for all builds”.
let alone that most “balance” complaints come from people who cant get their builds right anyway.
now you know, i agree with you on a lot of stuff, and balance changes are important, yet its also important to just wait for builds to evolve over time. the prime example this season are indeed the sorcs as they were pretty much the late bloomers.
right now i assume its the druids thatll get love on the mid season patch. the rest looks solid.
well i kinda agree with you in a lot of stuff too, but this “late bloom” tbh was caused only by blizzard fix and firebolt build bugging after this, same as bash previosly. =)
But overall before i ended this season i completed t107 as fo sorc, it was probably 1st season in any arpg when i didn’t play meta(well i had necro for mat farms but i just liked fo build that much and it cost me a lot). Build is fun, but not for those who want easy stuff for sure. And honestly if we are talking about high-end FO build i just can’t find any particular place where it is good. Cuz it’s bad even for helltides, cuz you need high mob health to be able to maintain flame shield constantly.
But it is what it is, despite the fact that I understand perfectly well that I probably won’t see any balance changes during the season, at least while I’m playing, I’m not really interested in balance changes in the middle of the season, it’s really not that important, at least not when you stopped playing =)
i mean a season ends for most of us before the 3 month mark ends it. personally i think thats fine. right now id also say im “done” with s4. i play when friends are up for some stuff, or if im in the mood to grind some GA items ^^
yeah yeah it was fine, any season for ARPG that last more than 2 weeks is fine. I can see myself playing it longer if trade system was fine(i mean basic stuff like gold ah to sell/buy items cuz for me diablo.trade at some point stoped working at all) but that was a lot better than before and better than D3. Still hoping to see this stuff in later seasons, but it’s fine for now.
im still super unsure about an AH myself but yea, i guess it might be a good addition. especially seeing how the advertising bots are taking over the trade chat ^^
well the solution is pretty easy just lock all gold trading that is not via AH or limit it to 5m or smthing like that cuz no friends need more than 5m to be able to start this game.
If you dont list your spec sheet, this doesn’t help that much, i might as well be saying the game is too hard becasue i cant clear wt3 with a sorc, for some this would be a reality.
So without more details how can we look at the numbers?
Did you mean free?
This is a product where there should be at least a semblance of balance. Moreover, considering that there are 200 levels of the pit, this means that everyone should reach level 75, even with the most awkward builds. Resources for upgrading equipment are locked behind dungeon levels. And this already creates a significant difference.
How they create balance is not our problem; correcting the situation is their task.
Our problem is that soon it will be a year since we did not receive the promised product.
Certain builds are AOE centric and terrible against single target. Its more build characteristics rather than class imbalance. Weakness in builds is good to boost diversity and group synergy. For AOE Sorc build such as FO, buddy up with a single target boss specialist such as Flay Barb. Even Blizzard Sorc is sufficient for low tier (61 ish) boss killings.
Boss difficulty is the S4 theme. Blizzard expects struggling on single target bosses and makes up the time with progression and bosses with adds from Holy Bolt elixir. While extremely overpowered and exploitive in nature, holy bolt is the seasonal theme and left broken for a reason.
It’s simple. A game in which you choose any class with any set of skills and are able to complete at least 75% of the content.
And your words about the “inability to build assemblies.”
In this game, all numbers, any numbers can be counted and compared. I say this as an engineer with a higher education. We are sometimes taught to program even in languages we don’t know. So don’t tell me about it.
If in a game you can build a build that is not valid, then the game is crap, especially ARPG. Plus there is almost no skill in this game.
I hope I conveyed my opinion.
PS. The test should be a test of your skills, and not what flaws in the balance of the class.
The logical end is when you kill the enemy with one blow and they kill with one blow. The main thing is how long you last. This is the endgame of mechanics.
