Cheered at a roadside shrine and i got a prompt that a spirit was following me.
It was a ghostly good boi and he followed me around for a bit.
I suffered 200 points of emotional damage when the good boi ran out of time and slowly vanished.

Mine got in the way of an aoe and ‘died’. sad The timer still ran saying he was with me, but I left him dead on the snow.

The spirit boi can’t follow you up a cliff you have to climb… I couldn’t just leave him, so I had to stay with him until he went back to the other realm… Still hated to see him go

Added: I wish ppl would judge the ‘necroing’ purely based on whether the interaction is sincere, timely, and relevant.
The ghostly good-boi phenomenon is no less relevant now than back then. It beats 15x topics on Tempering and 25x topics on how Blizzard broke someone’s heart. That’s noise pollution.

It’s been over a year and a half since this happened. Since then, I’ve encountered a Spirit fox, and I think a ghost cat. I still feel bad when they go…
