Make the Exploit Glyph the same for Sorcerers as it is for Rogues and Druids.
As someone who has mostly played rogue for the entirety of the game, when I equipped the glyph on my Sorcerer for the first time I thought it had been nerfed.
The exploit Glyph for Rogue/Druid bonus effect is: hitting a target for the 1st time makes them vulnerable for 3 seconds. Can only occur once ever 20 seconds.
For Sorcerer, the bonus effect is: deal extra damage to vulnerable targets for every second they are vulnerable.
One of the most common complaints about sorcerers is the lack of build diversity. Why does every single Sorcerer take Frost Nova? Because it applies vulnerable (the fact that vulnerable is so sought after is a different discussion entirely), and it’s one of the only ways Sorcerers have access to vulnerable.
If you changed the exploit glyph to be the same as Rogue, I bet you would see Sorcerers drop frost Nova for something else. This frees up 7!! skill points in every sorc’s build to try other things.
Yes, the relative strength of skills is another topic entirely. I’m just trying to tackle a very simple change that would have a strong impact immediately.
With so many patches I’m thinking this is clearly intentional rather than a small overlook.
I don’t think they can change exploit to that without making sorc OP, but I do think they can improve it somehow with class flavor. e.g. 3rd hit or when crowed controlled would all work within the existing framework.
I do not understand why other classes have easier access to VUL than sorcerer at this point having played and read the paragon boards in more detail for say Druid and Rogue.
If staff of lam esen said charged bolts make enemies vulnerable for 3 seconds, yes I do think sorc would have a very powerful build. (Not OP because sacrfice the off hand…so if you made Lam Esen a wand AND chraged bolts make enemies vul, then now we have something!)
Wolfnado is very strong, but having charge bolts that piece, go 300% further and have VUL I think would make them competitive with each other.
But of coruse no one can do T150 anyways, and this staff doesn’t exist so we are left with keyboards and imaginations.
