Yep. Worst part is that these changes are a non-factor for like 98% of the playerbase but you have a loud minority trying to turn the game into what PoE and D3 have devolved into just because they happen to have a platform.
I see your point, and having the power creep of D3 is not my intent. Having an enjoyable game is my intent. Personally, I love tough content and don’t mind grinding to a fair degree. However, D4 takes grinding to a whole new level of unrewarding and the systems they want use to use are just as unrewarding so most players find work arounds.
I simply want each class to be viable, quests and nightmare dungeons to give enough XP that they arent skipped in favor of dungeon spamming, and devs that communicate so we know what to expect.
Well I prefer slower gameplay when monsters actually use their attacks and their animations that devs put hard work on are visible instead of PoE hyperspeed whole screen 1 hit clear and no idea what’s happening.
Im what way keeping exploits and powerfarm zones in the game improves it?
98% of the player base have resorted to pulverize druids and twisting blades rogues. I don’t see the fun in everyone being 2 specific classes/specs.
Except it wasnt contructive, it was polite and did ask for more communication. The rest of it boiled dowm to “it is not like game xyz. Please make it like game xyz”. All of these posts are also complaining about a game that has only been out for how long? Wow in arpg terms that amounts to the attention span patience and maturity of a 4 year old.
It’s almost like they want people to play the game for a long time.
Class balance is an entirely different topic and is def something that needs to be worked on.
We’re week 2 of the game’s launch lol, its going to happen.
Can you show me where anyone said they wanted to keep in exploits? These twisting of words and going from one extreme to the other is very irritating. Wanting dungeons to have decent mob density is not wanting exploits. Stop twisting the narrative.
Basically everyone complaining how Blizz is “slowing down progression” cause they missed the boat on free 100?
I do agree mob density could be improved a bit in some dungeons but D4 being a more technical game than say PoE who’s just an endless stream of flashing lights while you explode entire screens of mobs isn’t a bad thing.
If you want the epilepsy experience PoE is still around.
It was extremely constructive. Every piece of criticism he had he offered a solution for. That’s constructive. Just because you may not agree with that solution doesn’t void it from being constructive.
And not once was another game mentioned aside from “It feels to me that the team wants to be so far removed from D3” which is in no way saying he wants this to be D3. You’re just creating scenarios / twisting peoples words to better fit your point of view / your argument.
As I said before, you can enjoy the game while also wanting it to be improved. They are not exclusive to each other.

No one has mentioned PoE except you. No one is asking for D4 to be PoE in this thread.
That’s it. There are options so D4 can stick to what it is. Everyone can’t be pleased anyway. PoE isn’t overall bad game too but it gets idealised too much.
I agree with the premise of this post 100%. Frankly, even if you love the current game and think it’s a 10/10 I don’t see how you could argue against the premise here.
Who doesn’t want devs that communicate and tell you what their plans and desires are for their games?
Here, here OP!
Devs please communicate more!
No but i’ve been around games like this long enough (literally since Diablo 1)to know exactly where its headed if some people get their way with it.
I’m trashing PoE a lot when i used to love it. I have signed artwork from the OG GGG team. There’s a reason for that.
Which really sucks because thats the direction PoE is going. If I wanted to play a slow casual ARPG Id be playing LE.
Thats why people wanted the other 114 dungeons to be brought up to the same level as the fun ones.
So you’re jumping to conclusions rather than actually reading what OP has to say and thinking about it logically. People offering their opinions on how this game can be improved and wanting dungeons to not feel completely barren is not asking to zoom through dungeons at lightspeed with animations going off so much you can’t see what you’re doing.
I also hate PoE, I love Diablo 4, but it’s far from perfect. Just because someone isn’t praising the game as perfect doesn’t mean you need to pull out your pitchfork and accuse them of wanting it to be PoE. It’s ridiculous.
Yeah nah, you guys are trying to exploit loopholes then throwing fits when they close them.
Wrong. They’re nerfing things too generally instead of nerfing the things people are actually, explicitly doing. People spam farming dungeons abusing dungeon resetting or relogging shouldn’t affect what normal people (especially solo players) are doing to just get to max level, yet several of the nerfs have done just that.
If the game was supposed to be about powerfarming 1 tiny dungeon, whats the purpose of the 114 other ones?
You’re unironically arguing the OP’s point here. The reason people are powerfarming 1 tiny dungeon is because none of the other content in the game is currently worth doing. Ihey’re not rewarding in terms of interesting items or effects to acquire, XP, etc. So there is no reason to do them. Instead of nerfing the things people are doing, give them incentives to do the other content in the game.
Not to mention, many of us are doing the content as intended. We’re doing Helltides (reluctantly), we’re doing NM dungeons +3 of our level to get XP and instead of it being an enjoyable experience, it’s making the game feel like a chore and a boring experience, hence the OP.
The reality is, the Endgame experience is so unfathomably unrewarding that people are desperate to know what they should even be doing and what the future of the game will look like because they don’t want to invest more time if future content looks like the current content.
I too have played these games since D1. I also love D2, D3, PoE, LA, Torchlight, and others. I don’t want D4 to be ANY of those games. I want D4 to be D4, but I want it to be enjoyable.
Contrary to your assumptions, I actually enjoy the slow pace of D4 and do not want it to be fast like D3 or PoE. I do, however want it to be rewarding and fun.
Now let’s take a moment and discuss ‘rewarding’ because that apparently comes across as ‘I want a free level 100 now!’ When I do not mean that.
I mean that I want the quest line that sends you all over the map to give more than 2.5k XP and 3 crafting materials. I want the nightmare dungeon to give gear upgrades on occasion, not 300 items you sell because the itemization is so bad none of them work. I want to be able to reroll those poor itemizations at least twice before it cost more gold than I currently have along with the rare resources I can only farm ever 2 hours. I mean I want 115 dungeons that all give decent XP/mob density, not 3 that I have to chain farm. I mean that after days of grinding, I want to feel like I have made SOME progress, not just run on a dull treadmill for those days. I mean I want to be able to respec and try a new build without it costing 40 million gold that takes half a day to grind back up.
Keep the slow pace, keep most of the grind, but allow more variety and fun.
We can both be happy, but it may require that one of us actually listen and discuss.
