Entering “Orbei Monastery” an item drops from a corpse “A message from the abbot”. This is a lore item, where the audio does not play nor does it display in chat window.

I just had the same problem which means that it’s global but most people have not noticed due to rushing or playing in a different style.

I just got this bug as well.

I think I triggered the bug because I loot the letter before the dialogue of my pg about the Abbey being tainted.
edit: I just made a relog to restat the quest and can confirme the trigger is not letting the previous message play entirely
Still a bug over a year later.
as of May 2nd, 2025. Still a bug, but now cannot even complete one of the campaign quests because it does not register that I actually found the abbots body.
You would think after this much time, it would have been resolved. Apparently Blizzard has become so diseased that it cannot do anything on its own any longer
8.07.25 bug still here. Why Blizzard don’t care about bugs?
Bugged still. Not sure if the player’s voice comment about the area overrides the starting of the “Message from the Abbot” and it gets stuck. The game does not even print that voice message to the chat window or anything so there is no way of getting the message.
A journal of past quests and voice entries would be a nice addition.
