I have been stuck at A Friend in Need: Enter the Bleeding Roothold for days. I talked and the NPC just disappeared. The cellar opening never showed up. Because of this, I cannot progress the seasonal quest. The worst part is I cannot craft any of the seasonal gems because she’s not at the Tree of Whispers during this part of the quest. What is going on?!?
Make a new character and do the quest from the beginning.
The rots are account wide so you can craft the gems with the new character and farm the currency with whichever one you want to play.
Try lowering the difficulty to Penitent if you’re at T1 or higher.
I noticed the same problem on my alt.
You can advance the plot by using a sigil for a specific Roothold. You can find them either in Silent Chests or they drop from caches for completing Whispers.
Maybe it’s a problem of doing these quests on Torment levels (I haven’t checked if it’s enough to go down to Penitent), but it helps to simply manually open that Roothold with a sigil (you can check in the quest which specific Roothold you have to go to and then use the sigil that opens that specific one - in your case Bleeding Roothold).
the quest is bugged fren, you gotta drop down to penitent difficulty and do it from there.
