I’m not sure. Veterans have skills that match their era; it was very different for video games in the 90s. Everything was in 2D with sprites, games were stored on floppy disks (so less than 1.44 MB), and Atari was still alive. ![]()
Nowadays, it’s very different. There are still veterans making games, but they are not as great anymore. For example, Torchlight, made by some veteran developers from D1 and D2, and some games from Peter Molyneux, the star of good old Bullfrog games, aren’t as good anymore.
So no, it’s not certain that even if the old team was still around, the games would be good too.
