Been playing Diablo IV, and the first half of the game has been great, looks stunning, with no issues. However I’ve started running into weird texture issues about midway through the campaign. Seems like textures are not loading properly. This was especially noticeable in Act III of the game.
Anyway it was around this point in the game that I noticed objects and textures were looking really blobby, blocky and undefined. I checked my VRAM usage and it was at 100%. I have an RTX 3070.
I teleported back to Kyovashad and was still seeing some textures not loading in. (I tried to post an Imgur link but it wont allow me to include links in my post).
I have an RTX 3070 with 8GB of ram. I’m not using the ultra high res texture packs, only using the high quality pack. Yet I’m surprised that a relatively recent, 70 series card is having issues. All drivers have been updated, etc.
Kinda disappointing that higher end card released in 2020 is having these sorts of issues only 2.5 years later. Pretty sure this is more Nvidia’s issue than it is Blizzards.
What texture level are you using? If your using the ultra texture pack then yes, simply put your video card doesn’t have the VRAM to handle it. Select a texture level you VRAM can handle it’s less about your screen resolution and more about the textures.
Sorry I see you are using high textures not sure what the VRAM requirement of those is hopefully someone can confirm you need more than 12Gb for the ultra pack.
It sounds though like there could be another issue here maybe you should look on tech support.
Definitely a you or nVidia issue. I have an RTX3070, play with everything on High, DLSS, etc and fortunately have not had any texture issues.
I’d recommend grabbing DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), wiping your current driver install and install again from scratch. Also, make sure Discord Overlay is off.
