Hi guys.
So the situation is: I play 4K Ultra just fine. 57 to 60 fps. The problems start when I want to switch to large cursor for better visibility. The moment I change that setting the game begins to stutter and becomes unplayable. When I go back to normal size cursor everything if fine again.
Anyone else experienced the same or can test what happens when the setting for the cursor is changed?
Have you tried lowering the fidelity? Dropping two 2K or 1080p and using the large cursor?
I don’t think the large cursor should have any impact on performance. Just trying to find out if this is some kind of bug. GPU is a RX 9070 XT. There isn’t a problem until I just change cursor size.

I use the Large Cursor in 4K and 1080p, it makes no difference for me.
i also playing in 4k with largest cursor, maybe you try to enable the v-sync thing.
Yes, would just like to add.
Running a multi monitor setup at different frame rates can cause frame rate problems.
I have 2 tvs at 120hz, and a projector at 60hz.
so sometimes I have to turn on/off vsync and/or frame limit to prevent stuttering because of the multimonitor setup with monitors at different refresh rates.
Is your wireless mouse battery weak?
9070 xt isnt exactly meant for 4k gaming
Try it this way and see if you have stuttering issues.
Instead of using vsync in any game settings. Turn it off in game.
Go to nVidia Control panel and setup a program specific profile (not Global settings), and use the nVidia Vsync setting instead (Fast).
I use a 60/120hz projector (4k/1080p) and 240hz monitor (1080p)…but to be fair, they are rarely used at the same time during gaming. My setting is rarely on duplicate or extend display.
Thanks for the replies, guys. I have indeed a multi-monitor setup, but booth screens are the same model. So different refresh rates would not have been an issue.
@Irres
I have an AMD RX 9070 XT card, as I wrote a few posts above yours. But your post gave me an idea in regard to the settings in AMD’s Adrenaline software. I had enabled the Radeon Enhanced Sync feature which is supposed to reduce visual tearing and lag. But apparently that feature seems to be incompatible with specific settings in Diablo 4. As soon as I disabled it and enabled the regular vsync the problems with the large cursor disappeared.
Thanks for the help.

I wrote that for DragonZord…but if it helped you, I am glad. I am sure there is an equivalent for AMD…but in cases where you see stuttering, you should try both ways and see which option works better for you.
nVidia is aware of your different displays the game may not be. And also the game may not deal well with the nVidia/Amd version of sync…in which case you would use the internal game one. Generally though I have not had issues using the nVidia fast sync for about 95% of my games.
