About 70% of enemies just straight up ignore all my summons and just go straight for me, what’s the point of having summons to fight for you if they don’t really fight for you? I feel like enemies should try to down my summons more often before they go after me.

You can’t focus targets, its annoying when you get those glowing purple enemy that provides damage reduction aura and you know you need to kill that one first but you cant command your minions to specifically attack a single target. So dumb.

Overall the Summons are just weak compared to other necro builds. Needs buffs.
I hate when mobs goes straight to your necro especially the butcher
even when you stunned them froze them or slow them… they still going after you after the debuff ends
Focus target is actually good to be implemented but I don’t know how to target them if using a controller
It blows my mind that the D4 team had the oppurtunity to study Diablo Immortal and imitate all the things immortal did right.
And failed to imitate anything.
In this instance, the way minions are handled.
Diablo Immortal handles minions like so: if you want skeletons, they have to be talented into and put onto your cast bar.
Skeletal warriors: automatically spawn every 5seconds if any of them are dead.
The command doesnt summon a new skeleton, rather it commands them to do something at a target or location of your choice.
Whether it be baseline skellies: the command gives them a attack speed boost and they dash to the target or area you selected and do dps.
Or if you opt for the gigachad singular skeleton warrior who whirlwinds at your command, where you command him to.
Or if you opt for the skeletal archers, they just get a damage and attack speed steroid, but hey theyre friggin archers.(Edit* actually they get the AS steroid, and they dash to where you command them to go. Which was heavily valuable in PvP as you could dash them forward to do damage to your offscreen targets while youre safe in the back line. Enemies would push through, and you could kite back, throwing your archers out front while maintaining distance. Yes they would die quite often, but hey there was a shield wih an affix: your skeletal warriors/or archers in this case return 50% faster. So while they would die literally all the time, they were constantly coming back up and it was a non-issue.) I seriously miss the PvP in the game, its a damn shame p2w ruined what would have otherwise been Blizzards best game ever made.
Mages: you click the ability, and it summons a stationary mage who lasts 10seconds.(3charge ability). That blasts mobs in a variety of ways depending on what affixes you choose.
Or hell, you cab even have your mages turned into giga chad Grim Reapers who do massive damage(but you have no control over them).
The golem commands in diablo immortal are so freakin flawless and satisfying.
Immortal captured the summoner in a perfect fashion and the D4 team was like hmmmm lets just take it back to D2 summoner minus Enigma. BAD.
D4 could have improved on the mages, but it should have copy and pasted skeletal warrior and summon golem straight out of Immortal.
It’s like 95% of my enemies are CC’d. Becoz of my Skelly Mages and Bloodless Scream Unique CC anything as much as it can. But I earned that weapon.
I think it’s working as intended. You have Core Abilities plus other Abilities like Blights and especially STUNS.
It depends on how you define Weak. Weaker in terms of DPS. It might be. But they can clear mobs regardless. But Weak in Tanking like those Weak Glass Cannons, the Summoner is more tanky.
