3 months in and ugly skins still cost 1/3 the price of the game?

Just wondering why the skins in D4 are priced so high? Up until the season arrived, none of the armor really even had any cool effects to it. Just a different boring weapon or piece of frankly drab and lame clothing. In fairness, I must state that I am a druid, and we can only be fat, so nothing actually looks good on us. (I legit run around as naked as possible because the untransformed druid is an ugly mess) But come on, 26 bucks for some unmoving/non glowing leaves and tree bark on my face? Laaame. Who in their right mind wants to challenge the legions of Hell with a Ficus pinned to their nose? I’ll tell you. No one.

If the bark and leaves moved around or branches encircled me continuously, then i’d feel more like a “heavy metal inspired” badass and not the chubby kid hiding in a pile of leaves wherever I go. (Also, I’m fat in real life, don’t need it in game. Get a body shape editing function.)

Okay so I hit two complaints but whatever, I’m a gamer of games, not a writer of perfect things. In continued protest my Diablo 4 petty cash will get dustier and dustier (or go to PoE) while I run around naked murdering hellspawn in Sanctuary.

Fix ya skins Blizz!

Anybody else feeling like us Nephilim got a seriously raw deal here?

Nah, Feels pretty industry standard.

I know games with even more expensive skins

It’s whale hunting, blame your fellow gamers for poor impulse control and financial judgment if you feel priced out.

If they’re ugly skins, why do you care how much they’re charging? You’re not going to buy them anyways.

I mean druid got an especially rough deal, you look like a fat slob and all the gear is so ugly in game, it’s funny that even most of the cash shop gear also looks like trash.

But hey at least the cash shop gets constant content updates, there will soon be more unique looking gear there than in the game!

It’s supply and demand. If prices are still that high that tells you that they’re either selling well enough for their intended demographic, or at least well enough that Blizzard doesn’t think they should make them available to more people yet.

I actually really like some of the skins, but the price is just way too high. I disagree it is industry standard.

I feel like they’d actually make more money if they put them at ~$5 where regular people might occasionally buy them rather than just targetting a much smaller pool of whales who are willing to spend a lot, but then I assume they’ve done market research on that.
