Don’t let people use this. There’s no benefit. If people wanna play together on same PC, limit it to 2 at least. People will create multiple different accounts and ruin the game. Here is why and how:
1-) It’s easy to use, just one tick.
2-) There’s a lot of coder probably waiting for the release. I think ban waves are not enough to avoid them. You should say " We improved our security " or something to keep us relax IDK
3-) There’s no point to create 4 character at the same time. There’s no support role. Drops are seperated for each player. They want to farm as much as possible for RMTing.
4-) I don’t wanna see bots following a guy like a slave above him.
5-) It’ll do big damage to Season system. It’s a basically economy reset, these guys will ruin it on day 1-2. I don’t wanna wait 30-60 min queue after work.
Everythings twisted these days… just play the game or don’t. One things for sure… be yoself. Whether that be a sicko, psycho, casual, HC, SC or w/e it’s all up to the rng gods at the end of the day.
MultiBoxing is not the same as botting. It’s also not the same as mirroring.
MultiBoxing is controlling each character individually with it’s own inputs. That is if I press 1 on the keyboard it only fires that skill for 1 character, not all the characters.
Botting is using scripts that play the game for you.
Mirroring is controlling all characters with 1 input. That is if I press 1 on the keyboard it fires the skill for all characters.
Typically Blizzard allows MultiBoxing but not botting or mirroring.
Flagged for trolling as you and that Dusty guy have been shown and had multiboxing explained to you countless times. We even have provided countless Blizzard tickets that validated multiboxing and it being allowed.
Furthermore, key mirroring/key broadcasting has only been mentioned for WoW no reference to the Diablo IP and until there is one provided it is not against the rules.
Botting is just something that plays the game for you. This is 10000000000% different than key mirroring/broadcasting yet you still cant grasp the concept and start another thread so you can try to push your views more.
Just stop, look in the mirror and ask yourself this 1 question “is this a video game or is this real life”. If its a video game how about you worry about what you do in it not what others are doing. If you answered this is real life please seek medical attention.
So you are saying, 1 person can not buy multiple D4 games, and have 1 or 2 character standing at the start of dungeon? That makes no sense, so then they need to limit people to 1, D4 per person? How? Limit D4 purchase per computer ID?
You again. Play the game 22 hours with 4 account. Does being allowed mean it’s a good thing ? There’s no point in multiboxing. If there was no trade system, none of you would have bought the game 4-5 times. I still haven’t gotten a logical explanation. Tell me why you guys defending multiboxing ? There are people who defend behaviours that are against the rules throughout history. What makes you think people are sane enough to not make the same asumption about multiboxing?
People just twist a topic to suit their agenda and think they are save then and that’s enough to make it legit. Like if you use a cigar it’s not the real deal… if we want to pick an example from the not to far past.
People can have as many accounts as they want but Blizz made it clear that any form of automation is against the ToS. There is no wiggeling room no matter how far fetched the argumetns of pro multibotting… erm boxing sorry… people are. Blizz just needs to instantly ban all accounts acociated with the person who broke the ToS and be done with it.
Maybe they’ll get a grip after the reality check that all acounts are instantly gone because they messed up and knowingly violated the rules of the game.
Blizzard allows multi-boxing however, there can be no automation.
That means each account played must be controlled by the player individually. No movement cloning, nor automation is permitted and is bannable.
But you are free to have more than one account and control each from the computer yourself.
Several years ago, they used to quietly allow multibox software that did the automation of following your movements.
You would click to move on one game, and the other (3) would follow your movement as if you clicked them. But you had to pay for that software.
I later moved to running just two accounts for multi-boxing, and in truth haven’t even done that for a while now. AT most, I would log in and power level one with the other and that would be it.
I don’t see a lot of this happening, except by those thinking to use it to farm items to sell or trade.
But time will tell.
Personally they can ban if it they want, I’m not really caring about it these days, and have no intention of multi-boxing D4 myself.
I would have still bought 4 accounts even without the limited trade we currently have in the game. We have already given you a logical explanation you just wont accept it. Go ahead and limit it to 2 just like PoE tried then they found that people will just use a sandbox or virtual machine to get around there stupid 2clients running on 1 PC crap they tried. I run 6 on 1 PC and they did what you said and limited it to 2 so no that would never work.

If you are saying dont let gold and gems drop seperate for each player then you would have like you have in D2 a bunch of feeder noobs sucking up your hard work and doing nothing. Nobody has broken any ToS or EULA for any Blizzard game by multiboxing. Clearly you need to go to the other thread and educate yourself.

they all move the same , they all fire their abilities at same time , one key press fire abilities for all of the multiboxed chars , they are usually played as the same char no different ones as you would not be able to control them all as different classes , so therefore technically bannable ,
no it is what mulitboxers do , iis how it works , it mirrors your commands to each char you are multi boxing ,
u cannot control 4 separate char with 4 separate key presses to make each to char do their thing individually , 1 key press using mulitbox software = all chars press the same key ,

He we go again explaining the basics of multiboxing to someone that googles it and sees someone using key mirroring/key broadcasting to run 4+ accounts at once and automatically assumes anyone that multibox’s does the same. This is very incorrect.
Soluss is correct though. Multiboxing is running more than 1 client at a time and each client runs individually of the other. Meaning I play 1 character while others sit there and don’t do jack squat.
Key Mirroring/Key Broadcasting is not BOTTING it just mimics the actions you are doing to multiple windows. Which Blizzard has said to not do this for WoW (I see the WoW statement as a direct blanket for all games hence I don’t do it anymore). Yet again read the other post and educate yourself before you go off screaming about something you clearly have 0 idea about.
BOTTING is the act of the game being played without the user input at all. AKA I click start, I go to bed and 8 hours later I wake up to 100 high runes and gear galore and I didn’t do anything the program did it for me.
This has 0 and I mean absolutely nothing to do with multiboxers and if you think it does you are oblivious to what real botter’s do. Like the China bot farms running 1000 computers all running a script that does everything for them in the game and transfers the money/gold to another account that they use to RMT items on. Not a single multiboxer is a RMT seller.
I can also tell you that anyone who has seriously botted a game for RMT sells (game name Silkroad Online) is most good bots don’t even run the gui portion of the game which allows for more clients to be ran simultaneously. On this game with 1 bot program I was able to run 50 guys at once. So that same 1000 computer bot farm just upgraded their bot to run independent of the gui interface (I’m not explaining how this is done) and turned into a 100000 bot farm overnight.
Please educate yourselves before you come at something with horse blinders on and continue to run into the same wall over and over again because you just cant fathom anyone would multibox without the use of 3rd party software. Examples again of what I currently multibox on since release of their games without a single ban:
Diablo 2 : I ran 8 clients on this game 1 computer 0 mirroring/broadcasting
Diablo 2 LOD : I ran 8 clients on this game 1 computer 0 mirroring/broadcasting
Diablo 2 Resurrected : I run currently 8 clients on this game 1 computer 0 mirroring/broadcasting
Path of Exile : I run 6 clients on this game 1 computer 0 mirroring/broadcasting
WoW : I ran 20 of these with mirroring/broadcasting. The game became stale after they removed the ability to key mirror/key broadcast for this game.
Last Epoch : I run 4 clients on this game 1 computer 0 mirroring/broadcasting
Torchlight Infinite : I run 4 clients on this game 1 computer 0 mirroring/broadcasting.
Starcraft : Ran 8 at once just to see if I could beat myself on a map using mirror/broadcasting software.
Starcraft 2 : Did same test as above cause it was fun.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare : I run 4 clients 1 computer with 0 mirroring/broadcasting software just because I can.
DayZ : I run 2 clients 1 to be hidden in event I die I can easily reclaim my items easily.
I could continue for you on the multitude of games I have personally multiboxed and still currently do multibox CAN ANYONE SAY /PLAYERS 8 for D2R online already? Cause we begged for it and they wont give it to us. So I found a walk around because like many others and I, we are tired of the bottom feeders taking loot that dont belong to them so I got /players 8 myself. Do I use key mirroring/key broadcasting nope do I need it nope do I need it for Diablo 4 thats a big fat NOPE again.
Please just move on to the next FOTM issue for yall like PvP or something that actually matters not people that multibox.
