Seriously… the “event” is spending less than 3 minutes to log in, open the reliquary screen, buy all the items then close D4 again until next season.
It’s like getting a $5 starbucks gift card for your second year work anniversary - everyone would’ve been happier if we’d all just ignored it.

I like the cosmetics and thank god I didnt have to do some tedious farm for it. I logged in, got the free cosmetics and logged out. Cant wait for season 9.

I would take this over the rubbish we usually get anyday (Which is sad but hey).
The event is pretty good. Mother’s blessing + an extra cache every time you turn in a whisper (yes every time).
Some of you complain about the most trivial stuff.

At this point in the season no one really gains much from more XP and as for the caches, more junk is still junk.
At least that event with a Rune was somewhat useful or Goblin hunting somewhat fun.

I wouldn’t say those whispers are pointless. If you’re SSF they’re your main source of gold. They also ocassionally drop some really good stuff. Just today I got a 3 GA weapon from it, but your mileage will vary of course.
Bottom line is, if you’re not having fun with the game or its mechanics, no amount of events will bring that fun back. I think that’s the underlying issue here.
I hit 400 million twice briefly this season on SC. Been below 200 million most of the time. Makes even attempting to masterwork nye on impossible. Totally impossible in the case of enchanting a passive.
I don’t think I’ve an unfair impression of how bad this is.
Last season because of the new helltide area it made it more manageable but yea playing hardcore or SSF always leaves you gold starved
Well, SSF is always going to be harder than trading in any game. I’ve hit max gold twice already and don’t have to worry about masterwork / enchanting costs at all.
Oh btw, just got another 2 GA item from whispers, and I’m not spamming them. They drop some pretty good stuff.

Non-seasonal here to agree. Nothing usable really drops past 1GA so more junk is just more junk. Sure, I could load up on more gold I guess? For what? I won’t get any upgrades to spend it on.
On one hand, the community that is still around playing deserves MUCH better.
On the other hand, they’re still around playing and taking the slop with a grin.
