Wondering if Blizzard has altered the drop rates for uber unique items or if the existing uber unique items are already out of order?

I went from lv1 to 100 as a Sorcercer without seeing a single unique drop. And doing 25+ Varshan runs without a single Rainment of the infinite dropping.
However on my 3rd run of Duriel i got the Uber Unique Staff.
Additional loot shouldn’t drop for groups from these bosses. It messes with the value for materials and spits in the face of solo players in a solo player genre. Glad nothing dropped if you were cheesing the fight by using additional players.
i ran 30 the other day and none dropped then i left and the other 3 continued and 4 games after i left someone got shako
In 29 runs (116 duriel loot drops) there’s a 91% chance for an uber unique drop. 9% chance for no uber unique isn’t even that low of a chance.
uber unique is about 2% drop rate. That does not mean that in 50 kills you have a 100% chance though.

My group of 3 got one and we did about 12 kills.
Uber unqiues are bait to keep people playing way after the season is already over. Stop chasing the carrot.
Yeah exactly, they give a 2% drop chance, the summon material is time locked in helltide, it’s not made for people to have uber uniq after ~20 duriel kills but to keep you going there over and over again and when you finally drop uber uniq after 100 kills it’s the one you don’t want for your build and you go the same round again and just hope…
It’s not content but it’s just to keep you playing, they don’t want to reward you, they just want you to be “online”.
Yes, someone can have an uber uniq after 10 kills, etc., just like you can get struck by lightning in a storm…
And I’m not talking about the virtually zero LFG system or solo players.
What’s interesting though is the incentive to keep playing is based on fun and challenging activities to do. So if Duriel wasn’t gated behind a stupid boring helltide farm, and we could run him (her?) over and over and over and over again to get what we want, that would be fun. Also, if Duriel could drop items for all the different classes we might find something our current class cannot use, could roll alts and have fun killing stuff again with our new shiny loot.
I don’t understand why they didn’t put these bosses in bigger dungeons instead of this forced helltide whisper grind.
I didn’t think it that bad at the time of announcement of farming materials but i also didn’t think that they simply slap it onto helltide without actually improving on it.
It’s probably tied to them wanting to control the number of attempts players can have. If it’s in a dungeon you could get the mats quickly. Helltide forces scarcity. NFI why they did it that way but it’s likely due to their absolutely moronic philosophy of taking medicine before getting lollies/candy.
Yeah with certainty i can say that I won’t spend anymore money on blizzard if they keep this philosophy.

The staff has extremely good stats.
A staff with the attack speed of wand and focus is huge. Especially for the current BL meta.
The shrine effects are just an added bonus lol

Yes, all uniques are now uber (rare) in the open world and NM dungeons. However, I do not think the drop rate for the uber uniques from Duriel should be further adjusted. Here I read a complaint about 29 runs and no uber. I know people that got one after ~100 runs. And that’s fine. If the drop rate is ~2%, that means on average you need 50 runs to get one. And again, most of the player base is people that work 9-17 jobs. Given the requirement for the materials, the majority of the people won’t have uber uniques. Still, 50 runs is fine to keep it a bit more realistic, bit sill very rare to deserve the “uber” title. However, you don’t even need uber uniques to be strong in this game now. I am playing ice shard sorc now, which is not top meta, and it melts everything beside high tier bosses. But I do not care that it will take me time to kill the bosses. I absolutely enjoy the playstyle and maybe later I will try more builds and another alt. So, in conclusion, I think they got the drop rate for the uber uniques just right and the itemization and damage adjustment is improved to a point that you don’t really need them to feel strong enough.
Yeah there’s no issue with the drop rate. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone genuinely saying it needs to be higher, more just venting they’ve done a lot of summons and not got the item they are after. The main issue for me boils down to this: killing the summoned bosses is fun. The thrill of the loot drop is why we play this game. Running around in a helltide like a mouse on a treadmill for an hour is not fun. Waiting for an hour for the next helltide is not fun. Doing the next helltide is not fun. Spending 5 minutes killing the the two pre-req bosses is kind of fun cos it means getting closer to Duriel. Killing Duriel is fun (for the 10 seconds to 3 minutes the fight lasts).
