A big step from 1k platinum per season to 2800 platinum for a Full Season.
Its 1000 for the Pass and 1600 for Owl + Wings.
I’m Divided, 1600 Plat for the cosmetics seems to be the current goal of Blizz. Your toughts on the pricing?
Pricing is very subjective. You either think its worth it to you or you dont.

Get used to it. Blizzard will do what they do best. Every time I see something I might want I log off and go to a different game and buy something.
It makes me feel better knowing that I’m supporting anything that isn’t Blizzard with their profit focused, predatory business practices.
Some devs focus on making the game great so that profit follows. Blizzard does not.

The reliquary is still 1k platinum. 2800 is for the bonus crap and is the same price as the accelerated battle pass that used to get you a bonus emote.

The premium pass price at 1000 platinum is unchanged. They just added some extra stuff to the accelerated pass, which makes sense, as the tier skips, when it takes no time at all to finish the battlepass, as well as an emote were hardly worth the extra cash. Semi-sucks items like wings, that match the rest of the premium pass armours are locked behind the accelerated/deluxe pass, but no surprise really. Blizzard have shown since the start that they’re very greedy with the store and cosmetics in the game.

On the surface of it, I get the same feeling i got from VoH (wing) pack options.
You’re buying the wings, largely.
Some other bits and pieces packaged with them.
That’s been a bit of a disappointment with D4 for me.

To explain:
Haven’t done the math for these ones yet (a necessity that has become a point the industry is under critical scrutiny about) but the VoH ones (after doing math) appeared to be quite pricey.
Iirc wings were accessible in d3 from completing various things in the game and so were a sort of cool keepsake from those experiences.
Now it’s basically a souvenir you can buy off the shelf in the theme park (season) ticket entry/exit office. Im not across how many people really go for souvenir purchases in different types of markets. I’d argue theme park souviners are more of a cheap trinket expression you take home from a long and expensive holiday. The relative costs are way out of whack between D4 and this analogy.
The titles got things going for it, but this isn’t one of them.

With that and two other key issues I’m waiting to see adequate progress on, I’ve made the decision to set spending at what I consider to be the minimum for this title for now.
It puts a disappointing light on seeing wings in game for me too.
It’s a signal of credit card use rather than I was there doing this thing once upon a time and picked up this cool trophy for being there.
It lacks the “cool” it once had.
I get monetising production and art - but this goes too far imo and overlooks the fiscal analysis that production and art are also bringing people to the game and to season passes.

What is odd is the price gap between premium and deluxe. Considering the value you get from 1000 plat (2 armor sets, weapons and mounts), 1800 more for just the wings and a reskinned pet seems completely counterintuitive.
I feel like it would make sense if the extra armor set that you get instantly, was only available with the deluxe bundle.
Can’t help but feel like this is some sort of oversight.
I have it on good authority that you will not get into T4 without the wings and the Owl.
