how on earth did they got this resolve stacks

I think it’s that Necro MW bug that turned to an exploit unless there’s something new

I don’t know the method, but I do know there is currently a bug for tempering +Resolve on your gear, then getting the Masterworking bonus on it. The math goes wonky even without using the bug itself and you can get something like +13 if you hit it three times.

The bug the OP is talking about is they are somehow able to get it to +18 instead. That’s just on one piece of gear mind you.

Known exploit, you temper double thorns on a nec character, mw and then switch to SB character and retemper for resolve stacks, those + thorns now become ONE + resolve stacks totaling more than the max +13 you can get through normal tempering+mw as SB

Everybody knows about this already, many top SB players also uploaded their pit 150 runs showing their gear with exploited + resolve stacks (Many even explaining how they did it) and nobody from bliz gave any f whatsoever. Not much of a surprise at this point. just another SB bug to add to the pile

Guess this too falls in the category “Leave SB alone because it’s fun as it is”

In season 4 they left the bash temper as multiplicative damage and let barbs use rogue crit damage tempers for the whole season. Basically the same thing.

It’s not that big of a deal anyway, they just need to keep the ingame shop always updated with new cosmetics and game will be fine, who cares about who tempers what from someone else…those are just minor details

and what so hard about it? tempering + targeted crit during masterworking

Hitting the 2 thorns tempers on nec then hitting resolve stacks on SB + another temper (That is probably gonna be vortex size or barrier gen) adds quite a lot of bad bliz rng into the mix i guess so chances of bricking are pretty hight but hey…who doesn’t want +18 resolve stacks?

Min-maxing power gamer?

It’s mainly CN players we’re talking about (At least those videos ALL came from them)…so…

To play devil advocate here
From what I can see SB with 253 paragon using BiS for Overpower Quill fully masterworked but not with perfect rolls can relatively peaceful roll over Pit 130

SB as it is without this exploit is already totally able to clear pit 150 in under 5 minutes, but someone wants to clear it in 3 (Actually the top one did it in less than 2 minutes) so here we are

The most recent Pit I did was 125 on my SB, with suboptimal gear, Masterworking bonuses not in the right places, I’m still using Shako and Yen’s Blessing boots, so yea. I know it’s mostly because of the bugged interactions between other things, but if I abused this bug along with getting my max HP up to 20K I could easily see myself beating Pit 150.

Beating pit 150 isn’t even an achievement anymore as a SB…i mean…top time is 1:59 and second is 2:11, those people would easily clear 10/15 pits over 150, probably even higher that that

Well … what found needed for “quality of life” is making sure you vigor pool goes about 275 …

Yea I hit that a long time ago thanks to the paragon board and properly placed glyphs.

240 for op from banished lord’s talisman, no need 275

But why 240 you asking? Because it’s bugged ofc, it’s 275 - QV skill cost

This is mainly run on the supper bugged Orange build. Which already uses several bugged affix’s, soothsayers is a huge bug. I know the barbs did something similar with the rogues crit temper a couple seasons ago, but this is more. Stacks go higher than intended up to 18 instead of 12, same with barrier, it maxes at 30% instead of 18%. Crit never went above intended max when used on a barb.

This is a lot of unnecessary work. I have two yellow tempurs and a blue and can do 150
