I just got a new weapon and upgraded it to legendary, rerolled one affix and the second reroll is over 1.2 million gold at level 71. I know gold is pretty easy to farm, but that seems a bit ridiculous
Next time don’t imprint it to legendary before you reroll it and save quite a bit of gold / give more potential rolls before you go broke
I think the difference on one of mine was 10k compared to yea close to a million. It’s nutty but maybe it is calculated off vendor value, not entirely sure but it’s definitely cheaper to reroll a yellow before you change it to legendary
i keep forgetting to do this
Same dude just making sure you all know
Thought I was rich when I had 13 million and I only rerolled like 3 items before it was all gone on yellows
i asked them to put in cash shop rerolls next patch so we dont have to farm as much G
oy vey thats a lot of gold
To be fair money isn’t my problem for rerolling, it’s fiend rose.
I’m having a hard time motivating myself to do Helltides, they seem dull, you’re just running around hoping to find monsters with the occasional plant that gives you 3-4 fiend roses. I hope we will get another way to get those.
They should hard cap it at 250,000
The game should be about fun, not constantly grinding for gold to get enough money to do a reroll to get an attribute you want
Look I keep posting about you cant theory craft and change your build because its too steep a cost and my posts keep getting deleted because I already know Blizzards plan.
They do this so that when season 1 comes out the game is better balanced and with less bugs they will release a character reset token that you can buy for 15$ which allows you to keep all stats but reset for free… This is where they get us with this game.
There are too many inconveniences in this game that have been in other games and removed do to them being INCONVENIENCES AND NOT GOOD GAMEPLAY. With this being said thats the plan is inconvenience you then make you pay real money with micro transactions to help with les inconvenience where the people who play the game to play the game fall behind because there is so much inconvenience.
Blizzards about money not their player base its been evident for the past… 15 years now. Look at Immortals legit will take you 20 years to get to end game of that without paying for progression in game.
Game, why you punish us for being stupid and not knowing our order of operations
You know this was either their endgame, or their retribution. Putting vendor prices, upgrade prices, virtually all prices, at ridiculous amounts, then coming out like a savior with “hey you guys want p2w loot boxes yet?” Or revenge for how hard the fanbase would have amped out if they put p2w in from the start. Anything even leaning, looking, smelling, questioning, honestly even a crossover, anything in the game even reminding someone of Immortal, will cause immediate rage.
No joke, I saw the Immortals on 1 server talking about having to prove you spend at least $250k, just to stay in the clan. Next week they lost to another P2W because they found out about the minimum and made everyone in their clan spend more than that.
Find good four-stat yellows, with maybe one thing you want to reroll. Get that, then imprint. Win. A lot less costly than rerolling a legendary, and less mats intensive.
I found out if you accidently click the wrong button that upgrade screen closes and keeps the chosen skill that you were trying to replace. Then then you have to pay an exponential increased cost to try to replace it again…
There needs to be a warning affirmation pop up before something this profound happens.
I just hate the RNG. Sure you can roll one single affix on the piece of gear, but there’s no gurantee there’s going to be a stats more desirable than the one being reroll. I have more luck going out the world getting a different piece of gear than wasting resources.
First re-roll should be most expensive, then it slowly drops down in price each time until you finally get the stat you want or you have paid the maximum amount and can just pick your affix with a moderately high roll.
Re-rolling stats feels very punishing while leveling up. It doesn’t feel good to blow a million gold and come out with something you can’t use and now you’re broke.
You either grind for the perfect weapon, or grind for the money to make that perfect weapon.
You got to be committed to get far in life, but in most games too.
It’s just the way it is.
Play Your Way!
but we’re gonna make it extremely difficult to do that
I initially thought they could have been setting vendor & upgrade prices so high for loot so they could have it combat gold farmers and bots once trade goes live, if it even does at this point, but honestly the high prices will just feed the farmers more. Imagine being able to spend $5 on exactly what you want, with great stats, or spend $5M+ ingame for a meh or a maybe. Not condoning cashing, but with prices this high anybody offering a discount is going to bank.
