120 different dungeons and only 6 Goals

Why we have 120 diferent dungeons and only 5~6 equal goals distributed among them?
-Defeat all enemies;
-Free the prisoners;
-Collect Animus from certain mobs;
-Find and return Bloodstone;
-Active Gate Control;
-Kill The Boss…

Not to mention 3 different boss encounters out of the 120 dungeons, lol

There’s a lot more then 3 different bosses, but they all die the same they’re all bad

Honestly i would prefer to reduce the stages to reach the boss, instead 2 “missions” i would prefer 1 “mission” and then boss fight,

By reducing the “missions”, i would increase the monster density even more

Dont take this the wrong way i agree would love to see more enter the rotation.
and i would assume its in the pipeline.

But even this at least to me, is more that than d3. think Rifts had

Collect coins kill boss.

Greater Rifts

Collect coins faster and kill boss.

just saying.

That’s what I’m getting at, they’re all just re-skinned floor aesthetics

Yeah man, teleporting around durance of hate and ignoring all the mobs to only kill mephisto 1000 times is a lot better. Or do you prefer maps from PoE that are the exact same every time? Or do you prefer Last Epoch that has an even worse endgame than this? Give an example of something good, I am all ears.

There should be 0 “missions” to get the boss. You should be allowed to rush the boss if you want, with optional side things to do for more loot/xp.

You don’t need to fill the Animus but if you do you get a greater chest, and the boss is stronger and gives more xp/glyph xp/higher tier loot. Whatever.

Yeah also that is a good idea

Yes 6 goals is way too many. Only objective we should have in dungeon is “Kill x number of enemies” or “Kill all enemies”.

Miss me with that “go fetch this rock and stand still for 3 seconds to free a prisoner” BS. Tedious and boring.

I mean, yeah, getting right to the boss, past all the pointless stuff, is a better idea once you’ve actually beaten the game. See, there’s so much stick and not enough carrot in this game, it’s just really hard to justify playing.

The entire game is the same thing - kill stuff get loot. That’s it.

Rifts may have had one objective (kill mobs) but it felt a lot more repeatable. One, because killing mobs isn’t some tedious special task you need to go out of our way to do; it’s our primary function in the game. You could choose also whether to just zerg through looking for elite packs or to clean up everything based on your play preference or build. But second, the randomised layouts, mobs, and zone aesthetics in every rift kept things from feeling tii stale. Even though you’re literally doing the exact same thing in every rift – grinding mobs until a boss spawns – every one felt different and you’d never do the same one twice. To me that beats the hell out of running Immortal Emanation for the millionth time.

I don’t think the problem is too few goals. I think the problem is too many goals. I don’t want to play courier. I don’t to play “find the stick in the corner of the map to click on it”. I don’t want to play “make sure you find every dropped glowy ball”.

I want to destroy things indiscriminately, like D1-D3, and kill a boss.

There are only 8-10 different types of dungeons. Just because they rotate objectives doesn’t mean the assets are any different.

Yeah and the rare items stuff dropping so often with a bunch of unneeded prefixes and suffixes. its not fun. Legendary items the same thing. Just the Apekt which u took off. And if you start ignoring legendaries than u forced to pick up from the trasure.
And every unique Item i found is not interesting and too weak for my build.

Blizzard have to copy D2 and past it in D4 ; )

Even with “hell” you will have to pay $ for DLC.

Yeah, at least some of the NM dungeon affixes are actually threatening.

Yeah, and i wish more of the base game scaled that way…but you know, people dont have fun unless they are mowing the lawn apparently.

Atleast there more to do than collect coins. and fight a spoon full of monsters some of which are smaller versions of story bosses…with different names lol…rose colored glasses are real.
