1.1.One Wish List

Dunno about you, but tomorrow’s chat can be used by us to see how much our complaints and worries and the directors’ plans do align. Which “one” announcement would you like to hear tomorrow and implemented on 1.1.1 that would make your game sessions better?

Sort of: Just give me “this” and I can wait until you fix the remaining?

We can visit this list after the call and see how much devs and community are on (or out of) sync. Or better… How much of these desires are being adressed…

LIST:

  • Itemization (Better/More Uniques and or interesting items) not priority
  • Loot Acquirement (Better Drop Rates, Target Farming) small change
  • Stash Review (More space/tabs, Item Stacking, Special Items Treatment) not mentioned
  • Horse Fix on radar
  • Game Rules/Mechanics improvements (Balance, Less CC, No Unfair One-Shots) priority
  • Game Rules/Mechanics implementation (Resistences) wip
  • Thematic KFC stuff not priority
  • Meshif Ressurrection & New Use not priority
  • Change/unify barrier/fortify into same stat so all classes can use it. wip
  • Some love to DoTs… Even if/when it’s conditional not priority
  • Nerf endgame a bit more and review gear/glyphs relationship not priority
  • Increase the number of things that can happen on NMDs, add secret encounters, summons, butcher types… not priority
  • Remove quest objectives on Non-Capstone Dungeons, while special encounters can be interesting, backtrack stuff is just boring. not priority
  • Matchmaking, LFGs and social features not priority
  • Labelled Aspect Icons not priority
  • UI Search (probably stash/inventory) not priority

“Hey, we are sorry about last weeks embarrassing chat. Of course we will keep nerfing things as needed. So here are the patch notes, full of nerfs, for the patch going live later tonight. Oh, and we obviously wont increase mob density, that would be crazy.”.
Please.

More stash space, fixing enemies oneshotting off-screen, and a fix for resistances would also be really nice

Not just tomorrow but in general:

  • Change Barrier bonuses to Barrier or Fortify (so all classes can use as such)
  • Some love to DoTs… Even if/when it’s conditional
  • Nerf endgame a bit more, think gear should still be more impactful factor than paragon (reduce level of Glyphs, then add some stats that increase Max level on a Glyph or increases level of Glyphs, or even radius, but just by replaying NMDs alone shouldn’t reach a lvl21 and +1 range power)
  • Expand the concept of NMDs to a “Secret encounter” or whatever it’s called… Expand it to modify/summon events/bosses/strongholds/butcher or other butcher-like spawns e.t.c.

That’s about it… I mean sure, I hope/expect Resistances will be fixed but if not the case so then maybe, MAYBE a barrier generation on a basic skill usage or a LH that reduces target’s damage

Those are like the things that I’d kinda hope things go in that kind of direction where NMDs are no longer a chore, low power builds get a bit more love, paragon loses a bit of power so lvl100 isn’t a “clearing speed” material (even with a good build), should require a bit more investment for “smoothening a few edges” by gear, and then perhaps/probably buff Bosses, like quite a several bosses feel really trivial… And yeah, nerf/fix the broken mechanics/builds that almost one-shotting things

From there onward everything would be an upgrade, but those are like the “basic” things I’d like to see happen overall to kinda begin with…

The system works. It’s Sacred / Ancestral items that break it. You’ll notice while leveling that the item power scales to your level. Sacred / Ancestral items do not.

Not really, I got a 790+ ilvl ancestral weapon at level 61, but still get lower ancestral items while being higher level.
I haven’t grabbed any item to check that, but to me any item below 625 is “normal”, 625=>724 is sacred and 725+ is ancestral.
Sure the lowerbound get higher with higher level, but the upper bound look tied to your worldtier, not your level.

Sacred/ancestral is then just an information about affixes tiers on your stuff, where ancestral is the best, and sacred is one tier below.
Below 625 is not considered valuable enough to have a named category mentioning its affixes tier.

Note, “Ancestral” and what did I say? They don’t scale with your level. Every item NOT labeled Sacred or Ancestral 100% scales with character level requirement.

Whether an item is labled Sacred or Ancestral is irrelevant, item power is all that matters. 725 is the final breakpoint, doesn’t matter if it says Sacred or Ancestral they’re literally the same. Normal items can’t get this high because of the Sacred / Ancestral system.

I honestly want them to remove forced questing in dungeons. I hate questing in general. I think in D4, forcing the same 5 different quests in literally every dungeon is way too redundant and it kills many players moods, not just mine.\

I also think a very high % of backtracking in dungeons is caused by these quests (which further frustrates players).

If I could have 1 thing ASAP, it’d prolly be this… It would align with their goals of helping players level up faster too.

You can keep those quests for capstone dungeons, and/or maybe special event stuff. but not every. single. dungeon. over. and over… uhg.

You’re true, I totally misread your post :man_facepalming:

If they fixed the itemization I’d care less about the stash space.

If they can’t fix the horse movement yet they should at least shorten the CDs of re-mounting and the gallop ability.

I fully support your attempt at getting together a list. Sadly forum threads like this just don’t serve this purpose very well. We need blizzard to give us some sort of running request survey.
Ps. I just wrote a post about the lack of players VS devs communication features.

Also, my votes:

  1. Matchmaking
Blizzard bans third party app users, yet solely relies on third party apps (Reddit/Discord) for matchmaking.
  2. Labelled Aspect icons
  3. UI search

I just had to quote the whole post because I couldn’t agree more. Don’t know what they were thinking but this whole questing thing makes dungeons so damn boring and repetitive.

And while we’re at it can we please get rid of the 5 waves of mobs thing in every dungeon. Surely they could have anticipated how “old” that would get?

I mean we kind of already had this kind of expectation with the previous campfire. They missed the mark big time. Not only were they out of sync, the questions they DID choose ended up being answered vaguely or not at all and with no time frames.

I know and thank you by your comment, but the intent is not on provide them a list (until because they must have a report generator to their own use, as the one used to moderation). It is more as a reference to we check after the chat how much their priorities does match or differ from what players think.
