1016 error is being ignored by Blizzard

Are you ever going to fix the error 1016 issue? All we get are canned response saying to reboot and flush your toilet. obviously none of you give a damn.

I think 1016 is a network/connection error.

1016 is often caused by a missing dns record. Just Google flush DNS. And you should probably flush your toilet too

they listen more than the poe2 devs who dont even have forums for their game xD

eventually youll want to share your specs if you need help, but hey, you do you. today we saw someone with a 20mb internet who cant play d4… so yea…

I am sorry, but that error will never go away as long as the internet has hiccups and disconnections for any reason. It is just a generic network connection error message, not something specific. It can be caused by dozens of things - things on the game server end, things on your end, or things in the middle along the many physical hops you take to get to the game servers. It is like saying “the power is out” - and there can be a ton of reasons for that. That is all the error tells you - that you are disconnected.

There are basic generic network troubleshooting steps you can do to see if you can figure out what caused your network disconnect.

Really though, Blizzard is not the root of most network disconnections so they can’t solve that and make them all go away forever. That error will keep happening as long as the internet works (and does not work) they way it currently does.

funny how I do not get this type of problem on any other game I play. Never had this problem with Diablo III. I have I9 14900 with 64 RAM and Nvidia RTX 4080 Super. My internet is really good. I have tried all the suggested measures. (and flushed my toilet). just frustrating.
