I’ve previously seen and read about occasions where a monster can turn zombie after it is killed, but now I’m seeing this on just about every other rift I run.
Previously I would most often see a zombie monster that was stuck to the spot where it died and just floats there, untargetable and not doing anything hostile. But in this season they chase after me and can attack me, but they can’t be killed. The only way to get them off your back is to go to a new level.
And, to be clear, it has gone from a once in a blue moon thing to every other rift frequency and also from “mostly they would be stuck and docile” to “now every single one is mobile and hostile”.
