Your thoughts on this topic?

Not that I’m holding my breath on any significant changes with the current state of this game, I’m curious to know what the player base think on which Sanctified powers should get the vigilante belt treatment?

I’d like to see the following powers added onto an existing legendary items.

Sanctified HoTA
Sanctified Whirlwind

Monk
Sanctified WoL

Demon Hunter
Sanctified Strafe

Witch Doctor
Sanctified Haunt
Sanctified Gargantuan

Wizard
Sanctified Arcane Orb

just alternate the best 3 season imo. crucibles, shard, ethereals.

I won’t comment on the others as I don’t play them enough but DH already has a spin2win build. Having three on a permanent basis? No thanks.

Part of what makes Demon Hunter interesting is the relative diversity of builds and playstyles.Making a majority strafe-based seems like a backwards step to me. However, I’m perfectly happy for it to come up as a novelty of sorts every couple of years.

The DH could get the power and would fix the “too many strafe builds” by making the new item a shield. Then, it would let GoD fire spenders which only would be adding Multishot into the build for 8% crit chance, and would allow Shadow to use it but at the cost of either Holy Point Shot or Dawn. In the case of Shadow, it would allow it to be used in Seasons with the Extra Cube Slot, or the Special Gems Seasons (I can’t remember the name of it) that allowed builds enough cooldown to go without Dawn for perma-Vengeance, or build around not using Dawn similar to how Marauders plays with getting your Vengeance to pop on the fire cycle of CoE.

Just a thought.

Edit: And the Shield I’m thinking of becoming this new Shield would be Storm Shield. It’s got a higher block chance and native lower damage from melee attacks as a secondary. Making it one of the better defensive shields though it doesn’t have a legendary power.

Edit #2: It would also be used in the free cube slots seasons at the loss of one of the other items used in builds, such as Visage of Gunes for UE (not something you would normally because it would cost the build too much defense), or a ring slot in either GoD or Shadow would it be a good trade off. You could also use it with Marauders that season but losing CoE would be a big hit to the builds damage.

On second thought it wouldn’t actually solve too many “strafe builds” but it would cost something in all builds that would use it outside of GoD. UE would cube it over Dawn or wear Dawn and Shield and either lose Yang’s or Deadman’s, meaning you’d lose 200% damage but wouldn’t have to worry about hatred cost. So, to use it, you would have to cube it over Dawn and build around going with you popping Vengeance on Fire cycle of CoE, but doing that would cost you Captain Crimson’s. All tradeoffs you wouldn’t want to make while pushing but could be use in Vision farming or regular rifts.

The point still stands that it would cost something for builds to use outside of special seasons.

And I don’t know why we would be worried about “too many Strafe builds” anyway. The Crucible Season is popular precisely because you like Strafe builds for the DH and if you don’t like Strafe builds then don’t use it.
