I am genuinely torn. Big stick Inna is my goto monk build. Impale DH, crazy fun too. New MOTE build thats much stronger and then crusader has tons of new stuff too.
What’s your starter?

Inna Monk to start finish with Tempest Rush w/sweeping wind or Wave of Light.
GoD DH, and eventually Impale
While I won’t able to start until Sunday, I’ll start with necro. It’s one of the better starters anyway and although Pestilence is one of the “worse” starter sets, I haven’t played it in years. I’ll roll DH as my second character due to certain conquests.
I’ll be going SSF once again of course.
Probably a Bombsader to start, then maybe a barb afterwards. Getting burned out on DH/WD.
I don’t even collect the season to non-season rollover anymore.
I will probably start a Monk this Season for a change, Inna’s is one of my favorite sets and great fun to play.
Number of seasons I’ve started on different classes:
Barbarian - 0
Crusader - 0
Demon Hunter - 0
Monk - 1
Necromancer - 0
Witch Doctor - 0
Wizard - 28
The one season I started monk to rush conquests, I had fun for the first few hours, but by 5-6 hours in I was bored and just wanted to play wizard.
Wizard it is!
Crusader would be easiest / fastest start. No sets needed, you can start with lod thornes and keep going. DH by its nature is extremely good starter too. I’m going to look through my screenshots to see if I saved any builds. So many good ones to pick. yikes.
Natalya from start to finish. I was tempted to give Akkahn Crusader a go with the pet stone but I did a 150 for the first time with altar in Season 28 with Natalya and really enjoy the playstyle. Going with Sliver of Terror and Remnant of Pain and seeing what happens. Should be able to do a 150 again. Seems to me, I won’t have to use Nat’s slayer (and couldn’t if I wanted to) due to Empower shrine not being in the rotation of the potion shrines, so the build will be much tougher this go around and shouldn’t take fishing for an Empowered Shrine effect to start a GRift.
Anyway, that’s the plan. lol
Ok, went through the screenshots. Going DH, LOL

Was tempted with the Shadow Impale buff. Was a fun build but it’s going to be WD this time. Been years and with buffs to Helltooth, Zombie Bears will be more effective.
Who knows, I usually do at least 2 characters each season. Likely be a Mnk for Raiment buff. Been waiting on that one for a while.
Necromancer to unlock the first two nodes, them DH
then again Inna is the starter set for monk. doink
maybe i’ll let rng decide
Well going to be consistent and start with either WD or DH as I have for the previous 29 Seasons. And to be consistent, I won’t make my mind up until the Season goes live.
Don’t know which would be easiest start. I thought I could do WD now but I don’t like being squishy. Maybe I go with monk or crusader.
DH will be my starter which I usually stick to.
I usually level up a wizard to gear the enchantress for farming t16.
Secondary reason was the idea of gearing the wizard and play that for pushing gr. With the nerfs to wizard i don’t think i’ll be doing that.
Now the need for farming t16 has diminished (visions) i am not sure i have a need for a wizard for s30 and beyond.
could you explain the setup? i want to start sader but i havent heard of this approach
my memory isn’t the best if I remember correctly strafe would fire the last spender you used, which turns the impale set into spin-to-win. it was focus/retraint, so I put bolas on number 1 button. 2 was smoke screen I think. 3 vengeance, 4 shadow power. button 1 impale. button 2 strafe. So, you’d open the run by firing impale. then start spinning with strafe. it did GR130s in 3 minutes. lol
sorry meant your sader idea, the thorns lod. how do i set that up
The lod gem is one of the first you get so you dont need to worry about sets at first. Eventually you’ll collect em all. Theres a shard that allows thorns to crit when crowd control is applied so its thorns with crit damage. I did my first solo 150 with it. Very powerful. There’s a bunch of crusaders here who can explain it better
